Determine if account has upgraded before?
 

I'm not sure if there's already a 100% reliable method for this, but if not then I'd like a way to determine if a trial account has been upgraded before, as I believe they shouldn't be restricted when it comes to things like in game polling.

The community name method did occur to me already, but I do not believe it is 100% reliable. If a non lifetime Classic account created prior to Graal###### accounts were to upgrade, and then eventually run out of gold, their community name would be equal to their account name, and so they would not be distinguishable as having upgraded. Allowing trial accounts prior to Graal###### usage would be something of a risk.

Sometimes you also have a Graal###### account which upgrades but the user has not created a community name, so if they were to let their gold expire without creating one it would also not be distinguishable.

If your server provides benefits or uses it an identifier (I.e. Shouts on Zodiac use Community Names / Accounts instead of Nicks) for those that have at least upgraded one it's a small incentive to set a community name. I think Stefan added a nag screen that suggests you set a community name as well, which minimizes the chances of it happening.
