This is bad.. I suggest you just look at tutorials and other threads and take notes on what others do..

Bayne_graal 06-10-2012 09:37 PM

-_- i read those tutorials 10 times! there not helpful only crono's an wandamans is spanky was helpful but you have to be good at outsides.

Obviously when you read them 10 times over, you didn't take anything from them, because otherwise you wouldn't have created something like this. -_-.. Sorry to sound so rude, but it's the truth.

Tricxta 06-10-2012 11:58 PM

Your levels are way to rushed...Here's your recipe for success:http://forums.graal2001.com/forums/s...threadid=21371
Do everything in steps and you'll go fine even if you aren't as good as the op of the tutorial. You just have to recognise good levels take time!

Bayne_graal 06-11-2012 02:13 AM

Well thanks for the support Tricxta im trying to get better i really am i wanna least be able to make my own levels cause im sure not waiting for observer mode.

don't be so harsh. reading a few tutorials isn't going to make him an expert over night. everything takes practice, even with guidance from people who know what they're doing.

If you already arent a good artist, leveling is something you progress in overtime. Not something you can rush, just something you have to let happen.

Bayne_graal 06-13-2012 11:02 PM

Can i see your levels an not the bomberman you made XD

Stowen 06-13-2012 11:07 PM

Bayne. You don't listen to people. You are too repetitive with your levels. Everything is too damn straight. Don't use the same direction more than twice! I try to always switch of the directions of things, it looks very awkward when everything is too straight. You don't look out your window and see a straight mountain, or dirt patches in your law aren't perfect squares are they? You dont go to the ocean, and see a perfectly straight cliff-side do you? No you don't. The point: CHANGE DIRECTION OF OBJECTS ALOT MORE OFTEN!

Bayne_graal 06-13-2012 11:27 PM

Well thank you stowen i will keep that in mind i just can't learn were all cliff pieces are an how i style paths a certain direction.

I totally get where you're coming from about finding cliff pieces lol.

Are you going to add to the level by using the feedback that was given? I haven't seen you do that in any of the threads you post. If you are asking for help, use it.

I agree, this is a very important step in learning.

Hey, everyone, I'd like you to meet Bayne.

He's not going to do anything you guys suggest he should do.

He is going to toss up a level with something vaguely similar to what was suggested. It'll took terrible. You guys will point it out. He'll act confused, maybe put up a few more edits that are almost in the right direction, but still terrible. Some of you will give up, and he'll start begging everyone else for help. When everyone finally gets sick of him not doing anything that was suggested he'll put up another thread asking for help.

Bayne_graal 06-16-2012 07:17 AM

dude.. just keep doing levels dont gotta tell stories ___-

Elk 06-16-2012 05:42 PM

That's not possible, that tree connection is basic and its not even full tree-ing...
the water is just a rectangle with an arch and everything in that level is unorganic... how can I say that I'd like it?...
Assuming you're like 10, when youre 16 or 17 your levels will be better if you keep doing it.

</sarcasm>Nice work! Impressive</sarcasm because he doesnt get criticm>

Crono 06-16-2012 08:29 PM

Right-o, time to take it to PM's or stay on topic. I let the personal stuff go on for long enough.

Bayne_graal 06-20-2012 02:23 AM

Thanks you guys i will continue to find new ways to improve my outsides.

Crono 06-20-2012 02:28 PM

You're improving. There's a lot of tile errors and much to do but it's still improvement. Keep practicing, it's the only way to get good at anything (including making levels).
