GMAP help? Anyone willing to make one?

So, I'm not quite sure where I can post this, so the level design type thread seems like my best bet..

I've looked at the gmap type things and they are either confusing sounding, require a .exe file, or need the offline editor.. Or at least that was my conclusion... And I'm not sure where else to ask this... I am wondering if I could draw a picture (one of them was asking for colors and images.. I don't know) or at least make a 4x4 or 4x6 level that I could use for Shaded Legends.

I'm working on a cave, and it would be nice if it were connected.. and I really have never gotten into gmaps, but from what I'm told, I can't just copy another one, rename things and hope they work... Or at least those I work with have said they have tried.

Is it possible that I may use someones services to help me make a gmap or two? If needed I can draw out the images with colors or whatnot..

If all you want is a plain and simple GMAP, you can use this.

Exactly what I wanted, thank you!

-Edit- not sure why but it isn't quite working with the level editor..

wtf!? you bump an old ass gmap generating thread which had from what I saw two ways of generating gmaps and neither worked? I doubt it...

Make sure you're using loadmap in a GS1 compliant way, that means no quotations.
It'd be better if you showed us what you used to generate the gmap and the code used to declare it within the editor.

Mac has no easy to get offline edtitors or .executable files. Unless you get a windows disk for bootcamp or emulator which I will not do. CBK has already solved the problem as stated above. Thank you for attempting to help I think.

The thread can be closed.

if u want u can convert the old SL gmap onto a new gmap so its one whole instead of 2 or 3 different gmaps put together i want to say i notice the gmaps are connected but different gmaps might cause some problems with tilesets u can also use notepad and write it the old school way i perfer that way

Hmm not sure how to do that, and I just wanted to make a cavern using two gmaps... one 4x4 and another 2x2.. They will be used often I believe. I would love to do it the text way, but like I said I think some of our team said they've tried that before with failure...

However, we may need to convert two maps later one day.. I'm slightly interested in how that could be possible. What is needed to be done?

sorry for the late response didnt see it example is
u have notepad save the name like whatevermap put it in the levels folder
have inside the text file something like
"whatever_a-1.nw","whatever_b-1.nw","whatever_c-1.nw"
"whatever_a-2.nw","whatever_b-2.nw","whatever_c-2.nw"
"whatever_a-3.nw","whatever_b-3.nw","whatever_c-3.nw"

last time i did this was like 06 on graal im pretty sure u can still do it like this if u like too
