I would like some opinions an guidence not good enough for a rating.

Oh wow Bayne.

The Beach:
the beach is wayyyy too straight, try adding some detail to it, make it less repetitive. Same with the shallow/deep water. Add a little detail, and some spunk to it. You know, spruce it up.

The Cliffs:
Again, repetitive. Everything is too straight, and happens over and over again. Try changing directions a bit more often.

I'm not a professional leveler, but that is my advice to you.

You need to add more in general, your cliff is way too repeated along with your shore line.
Remember, you can't rush levelling, it takes to time to come up with a quality product just like everything else.

No one has trolled/flamed you in this thread, so I don't know what you are talking about. For a first level, it's a start. I think you shouldn't start off making levels first. Rather, just use small areas within a level to work on things, designate one section to work on cliffs, one section for grass detail, one section for water, etc. Make a bunch of levels with sections like that all different in detail and design, and once you get good at that, put everything together. That's what I think you should do.

I'm not trolling anyone if you're referring to me. Unlike most members, I actually look up to new players in the community that are making an effort to develop and improve.

The level is great like I said ; You have a good concept on how to structurally develop a level. With a little practice and maybe ideas from other levels, can help you understand a little more about detail. Just make sure you don't aim for repetitiveness throughout your levels. Here is a little example of cliffing that is a little more advanced, I hope it can help you:

Things to do:

Style the beach so it curves in a reasonable fashion.
Style the deep water so it curves in a reasonable fashion matching the curvature of the beach.
Style the grass-to-dirt tiles in a reasonable fashion matching the curvature of the beach.
Apply some grass detailing.
Have the cliff changing directions in a fashionable manner.

Now how you do any of these is where practice comes in, it would be time consuming to guide you on how to accomplish each of those.

There is a huge difference between trolling and constructive criticism, and if you really want to get better you need to learn what the difference is.

There's nothing wrong with your levels for someone wanting to learn. Your level resembles what most levels look like from someone who is just learning, so if you keep at it there's nothing stopping you from progressing.

As others have said, try to keep straight lines to a minimal as they look very unnatural. That's not to say have NO straight lines, because in my personal opinion having cliffs/paths that are constantly diagonal end up looking pointy and even more unnatural than straight lines(in my opinion, I never have more than 3 or so portions of straight cliff at once).

Your best bet is to browse the forums and look for some popular levels and try to mimic what's going on. Study them and learn what they're doing right and adapt. Also, don't be afraid to use predefined objects. I'm not saying you just plop down a bunch of predefined objects in a level, but use them because they're more convenient then hunting down every single individual tile in the tileset. For example, many of the predefined cliff objects are tiled correctly, so all you have to do is plop down one instance of a predefined cliff and copy/paste the portions you need from it.
