If you wanna "work" on N-Pulse, upload the levels from 2003, including OLD nemspar, and let us go be nostalgic on it. You'd get more players than UN at this point, that's for sure.

and GS1 is going to work a treat - also I'm sure we are surely going to pass the test with loading that back up.

you mean an older, buggier version that died out?
where have i heard that before... not only is it impractical, it would be much harder to work with.

npulse had the right idea of getting taken off the list, and starting over.

it's the same story on alot of servers, you get the:

"delete the npc server, bring back the old levels and scripts, delete all the new quests, give everyone max hearts, lvl 3 sword/shield and let people pk and spar all they want and your server will be a success"

but naturally, if it were that easy every server would be a success.

it's about targetting specific crowds and bringing them in and keeping them in.

for example, quests: not everyone likes questing, but to remove all quests would limit people looking for a gameplay experience, hell some people don't think sparring/pking is all that important. (yes, i know, we should pk them off the game!) while many more think that graal is just a chat room.

it's really about keeping an open market, quests bring in players, that brings in pkers and more players. now you can sustain, both a questing, chatting, and pking type of player. a community can sustain a server a long time when there's nothing else to do. (see: Unholy Nation, iPhone servers)

graal really doesn't need to be a pick and forsake all others format.

a game should always realize how important it is to bring in new players, and a pure pking server would infact alienate new players who would most likely get slaughtered the second they step out the door (Zodiac, Era)

what most people forget about the old levels and scripts is they failed for a reason, you don't move forward by stepping back. you move forward with innovation and creativity. not to mention there are plenty of other traditional servers. (classic clones)

N-Pulse was probably the server I had the most fun on even though you could only play Events for fun, it was the people.

I only remember N-Pulse being just like UN for the fact that everyone always paused slashed at you, except more-so than UN being idle and sitting at chairs all day.

I do recall the players (who would talk outside their 'in' crowd) were nice though.
Basically one girl who played, since she was always on...

I guess I'm the only one who had that notion... lol

N-Pulse was always big in PKin'g and sparing - I dont know what era you played.. but certainly wasn't like that in it's prime.. because that was before UN was even made. The days when Baddies and TCN ruled the joint.

I can say safely, that I am not bringing back classic N-Pulse, the OW is really nothing at all what you could relate too.. it's all new levels, and a couple of main levels majorly re-vamped. It is FILLED with history of N-Pulse though, and if anyone knows anything about N-Pulse, they will certainly pick up on a point or two.

I'd personaly love to make 1 iPhone server, and 1 PC server.. but not have them exactly the same.. but sadly dont have the resources.
