New to owning a server
 

See, I bought a server today.
Usually when i've worked on other servers,
Theirs a "Plus" to the left of:
NPC's,
Weapons,
and Classes.
But not on mine. How can I fix this?

Wrong section to be asking that question. However, you need to make sure you have rights to the server. In RC type /openrights "acctname" without quotes ofcourse.

I have all rights.
Every single one.

Say /npcstart

No. Didn't do anything differently.
This is for client-side RC.

say /npckill and /npcstart
It has to work usually. Use external RC please.

All it says is "Fysez called the commands to start the NPC-server".
Nothing else happens.

/global servercontrol restart: restarts the gserver

Use this command please and test it.

When you say you've got all rights, does that mean you've just ticked all the boxes, or does that mean you've also set the necessary folder rights?

Folder rights should contain:

CLASSES/*
WEAPONS/*
WEAPONS/*/*
NPCS/*

It's fixed now. :) Folder rights were wrong... plus alot of new servers have been having issues with admin rights. Usually just takes the owner to do a complete restart of the server to fix it.

Wtf who cares the **** folders? He had problems with the NC buttons....What has that to do with folders...Thanks for neg rep.

Funny that somebody would give a neg rep for that, but there are no NC buttons within client-rc, instead there's one script editor button, which opens a filebrowser window, where with the relevant rights a + new weapon entry appears at the top of the list.

and you should be safe

This is normally a bad idea, especially on high-population servers. Opening file browser can cause the server to freeze for 10 or more seconds if you've got access to too many folders (accounts folder on Era, for example). I wouldn't get in the habit of doing it.

Use more restrictive rights and force yourself to be organized with them (e.g. rw levels/world/event/era_event-*.nw).

Yeah I just suggested it for his own Playerworld though. But you are right. Happened to me often on Valikorlia
