How can Val have an economy? I thought there was nothing to buy o.o? Or am I just ignorant.

For a while we've been simply giving items to people who wanted them for roleplaying purposes, as Val greatly favors roleplaying over anything else, but we think it's about time we put some more actual gameplay in for new players looking for stuff to do.
A more direct answer is: We have lots of stuff that could be sold, we just haven't implement the system for it yet.
