Remove Era from classic list
 

Era hardly maintains the quality of a hosted server nowadays. Poor quality content, no new content, awful management, and abusive staff. The game is hardly playable, there are glitches everywhere that remain unfixed. I've tried both v5 and v6 and they exist in both:
-people shooting weapons that should have freeze without any freeze
-players spawning items
-constantly warping to the top left of the gmap for no reason.
-items dissapearing from inventories
-food sometimes healing "negative health"
-ganis not showing up correctly
-sound looping
-bullets going through walls(not talking about shooting through walls, though this is an issue too)
-the gui messes up frequently(will post screenshots later)
-lagcheck is inaccurate(getting10-50 ms when I'm clearly at 5k+
-guns sometimes cannot fire and reloading sometimes never unfreezes causing me to have to relogin.
and many more bugs


there hasn't been any significant new content in forever.
One staff member continuously warped me to an empty level, and killed me every time before I could do anything.

This sounds like a possible reason for your problems..

Honestly, other then the management, What real argument do you have on the server

Personally for a server that is completely customized, maybe a couple of disconnected means of mechanics and such (flower picking n all that bs)

I only played this server a few times, about a good months worth of play at all, I'd say if this server actually had decent management all around and not just in non-PR related aspects, I think Era would be a pretty okay server.

The fact you give such ambiguous reasoning makes your argument even more illegitimate.

Also make it so cars are actually able to be driven around, It's like looping a bad neighborhood for eternity :|

Maybe even make a Driver's Ed and actual traffic laws on a whole new Roleplaying island.

Yeah, I'm going to agree with this. A lot of what you've posted doesn't actually happen on a server-wide basis and sounds very much like a problem on YOUR end. EG: Sounds looping, ganis incorrectly showing, warping to the top left, items disappearing from inventory, reloading/firing problems and whatnot all sound like things that would cease to function properly if your internet has failed to maintain a lagless connection to the server thus breaking the functions being synced clientside and serverside. My advice: Check your connection.

As for the other stuff like "Players spawning items", sounds like a problem you need to be discussing with the management, not basing as a reason to remove the server from the classic list.

Furthermore, Era is a Global Gelat Shop supported server. It's unlikely that Stefan will allow it to be removed from public view when your connection issues and a possible management-fixable problem with players can be fixed by the respective parties. So yeah, check your connection, report abuse. Done.

Every weapon has freeze.
Players can't "spawn" items, only specific staff can.
Ok, this top left warp thing happens like once a week and you can just unstick, boohoo.
Explain disappearing items?
Food doesn't heal negative health, you're probably getting shot or bleeding.

So, remove Era because sometimes a random player will get warped to the top left of the map?
I support this.

Only thing that'll make Era (or Graal really, for that matter) playable is a time machine.

There may be a bug like there is on iEra where sometimes guns will bug up and will completely ignore the 'freeze' variable, thus allowing you to shoot your little heart out.

There are some exploits that allow players to spawn items.

Maybe it's on a timer?

Pretty sure iEra just has really low freeze to begin with..

I think era is the one server i would say that a complete wipe might be to much.
stricter management of staff members though, first time on era in years and a corrupt staff kept warping me to an inside level and pking me.

removing the excess of weapons and ak47 clones and investment into bringing in new players, era feels too much like "get the best guns and pk newbs as quick as possible"

It feels more that people stay on era simply because they have the advantage over newer players.

Investment into long term goals would be more prudent than a complete wipe.
I'd like to see actual gameplay content instead of the simple grind endlessly for money to get the best guns and then pk players with pistols.

Era really does need a reset because of the many game-damaging events that have occurred since the last reset that were never properly/fully resolved:

• At least 2 major duping incidents
• Several item spawners found (I'm sure there's more that haven't been discovered)
• Several bugs and glitches causing leaked money or items (known bugs were fixed, but often times the extent of the damage was unknown and only so much cleanup was done).

On the other hand, there is just too much that needs to be accomplished before a reset would ever solve any long-term issues.

ya remove one of the longest running servers. ya.

when i used to play most of the leaked money and items and whatnot was usually coming from staff members. maybe someone should look into that.

i honestly dnt see many ppl spawning, lately everyone is poor cashwise it seems
era is a great server, except the "making money" part which is boring since it's not related to pking (the point of the server)

and lol @ all these kids who dnt even play era and r angry at it prolly cuz they logged on twice getting their asses kicked and being called noobies

Actually I think the money for gang kills got increased at some point.. in a single Gang ULMS (or even regular ULMS) I can pull like 100 points and end up getting like 3-4k.

That's in a 10 minute ULMS.

Yes, let's remove Era. One of very few servers that still remain on a list of quickly-disappearing servers. That will fix everything. :whatever:

I "increased" it recently, but it was more of a fix than a new feature. Remember that with the old gang system you got more money for a gang kill than for a regular kill, but with the new system it was always treated as a regular kill. I fixed that.

Might be interesting to say /dropmoney and see how much you get and if it's too much/little.

I released the new Era Dev gmap. :)

It has a lot of tile issues, but most importantly can you fix the shooting range I thought my head was going to explode ;P

EDIT: My apartment looks like it's been having a bit of a tragedy as well.

It was actually moved to the other side of the gmap. I'll update the map tonight as well.

Yea I noticed. I was walking randomly and entered a house that I shouldn't be able to enter, when I try to exit the house I get warped to two islands at the bottom of the GMAP.

I was talking about the tile errors that are in my apartment, shooting range and probably a lot of other levels.

Fix the zoo (just need to copy over npc class)

Well just make a ticket with the level name where the problem is occurring.
