Common GraalEditor problem

I know that their are "delete filenamecache" fixes and "load the image" fixes, trust me I would only resort to post this if I cannot fix this problem. I just want to use these updated tiles, the old ones work fine but why can I not use these ones?

GraalEditor only supports 8-bit images, if the image is 24-bit then it won't work.

Follow this guide to fix the color-depth:

Ah you're the man. +rep fosho.
Another quick question, era uses different tilesets, if I wanted to use both would I just add the tiles in the empty spaces? And it would transfer over nicely?
If I was to submit this level would I have to change the tiledef so the staff wouldn't have too? I'm just trying to pick up all this general knowledge in quick time.

You can 'transplant' tiles into your level using addtiledef2. If you add new tiles you'll have to get them to upload the new tile images as well. Probably best to stick with their tile offerings.

I really don't have any experience with Era's tileset though, they offer a developer download though. Login in to Era, Graal Start Menu, Install Packages. Perhaps you can find more help there.

As far as I know there are only summer, autumn, and winter tilesets. The dev kit you can download contains all three of these. There are some additional tiles that are added via adddef2, but these are only for the mines and a couple other special levels.

The dev kit contains a level which will set the tiledefs for you if you open it. The tilesets in the dev kit are a bit outdated, however. I'll request rights to fix that.
