PM notification in v6
 

So what's up with this? Isn't like straight up zelda opening a chest lttp? lol.

Had this for a long time on Classic for iPhone :D

Are you referring to the PM sound?

What happened to the posts showing the sound chest.wav is completely different to the sound in LTTP, and suggesting the PM notification sound be changed to something more suitable?

I'd happily cook something up if need be.

I'd say item.wav is suitable as it sounds like a burst bubble (as in PM bubble), and doesn't last about 2 seconds in the same way chest.wav does.

It's not very noticeable though.
Edit: Update for V6 maybe? A new text edit in the sound tab or something so you can choose your PM sound.

Then we can sell PM tone packs for $4.95.

then of course you never get out of subscription after telling them to stop.

Let players choose their own sound instead through the GUI or make a game config variable to change it.

The noise is very annoying on Classic, especially if you announce. The chest sound is constant for 30-60 seconds depending on how many PMs you receive.

Yes can be annoying when you get 1000+ PMs I guess :D
