Ammo Mods
I think Ammo mods would be a cool way to change up the standard two guys shooting each other with 20 damage guns that do basically the same thing with only slight differences. This would effect Sparring, PKing, Events and Raiding. Basically anywhere you would use a gun ;P
Ammo mods would add positive AND negative effects to your gun. Obviously, only one would be active at any one time. Some examples of ammo mods that I thought of: High Caliber Ammo: +Bullets travel 25% faster -Reduces spread by 50% Armor Piercing Rounds: +If the target has armor: bullets do 75% damage to health AND armor -If the target doesn't have armor: bullets do 1 less damage Flechette Ammo: +Causes targets to critically bleed -Bullets do 75% damage Incendiary Ammo: +Lights targets on fire, causing damage over time. +/-Anyone (including you) that the target touches can also be lit on fire Glaciated Ammo: +Bullets slow down targets by .01 speed for 3 seconds -Freezes your gun if you shoot too frequently, which makes you unable to fire for 3 seconds Ghost Ammo: +Bullets pass through targets, while still doing damage -Each time a bullet passes through a target, it's damage is reduced by 5 Rubber Bullets: +Bullets can bounce off a wall ONCE -You can be hit by your own bullets High Density Ammo: +Bullets slightly knock back targets -Each shot you fire pushes you back and bullets have a significantly shorter range ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Some ways the actual method of applying ammo mods could work: -Buy a mod from a gun/ammo store that applies the effect for a certain number of shots -Buy a mod from a gun/ammo store that applies the effect to the gun permanently (until a new one is applied) -Buying special ammo (player presses a key, menu pops up, player chooses which ammo type they want to use) |
I love it, the only issue (I think, I'm sure Vimes will correct me if I'm wrong) is the current gun system isn't flexible enough to do something like this. But I would love to see this. Also, I don't really think Ammo Mods should be allowed in spars, just sayin.

Ghost/Rubber would be straight overpowered or 'lame'. High Density/Flechette/Armor Piercing would be redundant or practically useless. The ice one would be really useless, .01 is really nothing whilst your gun would randomly freeze. Perhaps if the effect stacked on itself (get combo-ed and hit 4 times, it would reduce speed by .04 for 12 seconds). Fire one would be hilarious. But who would use anything besides High Caliber? That's two +'s, and guns are already lame enough to make perfect walls. |
months ago this staff team said they were working on gun attachments, lmao..this involves too much work for them, even opening a shop or adding hats to current shops (as promised) seems very hard for this staff team

I want to implement a kill award system where you can obtain special mods for your weapons and actually personalize them to your fittings (less spread, slightly more damage, bullet travel speed) Just need ideas on how it would work/ how players would obtain attachments |
