Improved white tiles

Firstly, sorry about the title. It is misspelled. *facepalm* (If a moderator could fix that, it would be great!)
I was looking forward to using these white pillar tiles, when I noticed that they had some transparency issues. I fixed it up with paint, and began to wonder what other things I can accomplish with this. I started making some news tiles with paint, and I have made loads of new tiles, and fixed some too! If you are going to use the tiles, don't rename them to pics1.png. Thank you.

Edit: Attached some images that could be used too. Quite proud of the block :D
Just add an idea or any issues in a post and I can fix them.

See the difference here;

Really nice bro. Well done.

I am working on putting them in a dusty's script generated tileset image, and then work on things from there, as my little project. Something to occupy me and then contribute to the forums really! Need feedback though.

I don't see any difference o-O

So, fixed tiles are worse than broken tiles? And what do you mean gradients. I don't see any. Plus, if you think > read > post, your eyes will come across some handy pictures at the top telling you where the changes are. When I finish my tileset, I will post the image and make it easier for you to see them. Mark didn't have any issues with finding the changes...

I agree with Sid.

White in my opinion is way to harsh as a colour to use in any level and look good. Just out of interest who uses these tiles anyway?

I made a level with the tiles, and you can do a lot more with them now that what you could do. I am not finished yet, but it shows you some of the potential for the new tiles.

Man thanks guys. Should I keep working on them?

racycle 09-11-2011 01:21 PM

If it's all for practice I don't see why not :P. Maybe try and add in some scenery just pillars will get old fast lol.
