Screenshots of Valikorlia?
 

Time to blow the dust off of this unused part of the forums!

As part of a project on Valikorlia to chronicle old events, I am looking for any old screenshots you may have taken while on Valikorlia in years past; I've seen a lot of them from when this forum was used long ago, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

i miss old val it was fun as hell playing it when it first came out then it went to fun to stright up RPing and nothing else if i was right when the main owner quit the new owner flooded the gmap and u were just on a little island for the longest time but still i love to lat with current val now

Awesome Crono! The best part is, I can look at what other shots I have and compare the GUI to see how old these are.

Val has been through a dozen systems and a dozen managers, so it's hard to understand what people mean by "old val" and whichever system they enjoyed the most.

I like the new Val more :) Check Signature :P Haha

Man I have a lot more. The golden ones were from 2002-2004 though, the ones I lost. :(

Looked amazing. Kind of sad though, Moon God used to log on and tell me how much he loved the server and how great it looked. RIP man. :(

Yeah I had found those by accident via google searching for one of the old Valikorlian cities, and it inspired me to ask for more. Very cool stuff, and super helpful for our timeline project.

Just about all of my screens have a legit modified date so you should get the dates they were taken. If not I can just tell you lol.

Some more ^-^, maybe they'll help.

The screen itself is from that date but the level is from earlier that year. The tileset is the last thing Aeglos worked on and the level/scripts were done by Tig. We were trying to revive Asca but later gave up. :(

I feel like Val is going to waste :(

I log on sometimes and want to role play but nobody is on. X_X

Given your timezone is British, I can see that, Emera. I'd say activity is mostly between 5 PM PST to 2 AM PST.

Val has always worked off the concept that players idle until people more relevant to their character's interests log in.

And is it going to waste? Hmm, I suppose, in a way. The people who RP and have fun on it think it's going OK, but it could always be better, right? Same goes for any server, I suppose.

What should have been done was the RPG system fused with the new worldmap. It would have been incredible.

And yeah, Val in 2003 was the third largest server next to UN and Era, sometimes surpassing both.

Seriously, when Valikorlia took on the half-RPG, half-roleplay style, it was better than any who came before or after. Better than Providence, Maloria, Zodiac, whatever.
