Two RCs one IP
 

Hi!

To begin with, I'm not sure if I posted this thread at the right place, so feel free to move it if needed.

My friend and I both have RC accounts. We're currently located in the same house and thereby sharing one IP.

When we try to log on to RC it says that another account is connected to the RC with the same IP.

Is there any way to fix this? Or do we have to have different IPs?

As far as I know it shouldn't be a problem as in the past me and my brother were using RC under the same ip address but the system may have changed since then. The only possible solution I can think of right now is to set the ranges to your computer ids instead of ip address, but that being said it still might not be a problem with specified ranges.

Edit: Also this thread should probably be moved to Tech Support.

Edit2: Just got my brother to login to the same server as me via RC and we are both connected.

Never had this problem and I've been sharing IP with others on RC from time to time. I even had two of my own accounts on RC simultaniously.

Try using PCID's rather than IP. Also, are you guys using the same account.. ? lol
