New Event: Team Trivia
This is basically what you'd expect. A couple simple modifications/additions to the trivia event (and a shiny new level made by the one and only Zach!) have brought Team Trivia to life.
Basically, all players with the same guild tag have their points show up on the leaderboard (as in, if a player answered a question with "Hellraisers" as their guild, that would be what shows up on the board) The ET is capable of setting up 2-4 standard teams (red, yellow, blue, green {i was gonna make cool names but zach said no :< } ), or just letting people use their own guilds (kind of laughing at the thought of gang trivia. lets put our guns aside and be intelligent..as if) at any rate, should be useful in the future. It needs a bit more work, so it won't be up until tomorrow, but i figured throwing it up a few hours early so people could bash it a bit longer couldn't hurt much. Enjoy! |
As you know Trivia is the only event I can participate in (besides Gas Chamber), so it will be interesting to play on a team!
Good work Zach! and Scoper. |
do you and zach just sit down and brain storm on how to modify every last event? anywho, I support.

"Yo scoper you wanna make a new event?"
"Yeah sure..don't have script access yet though" "mmk what do we do then" "...team trivia?" "ok i'll make the level" so yeah basically, fed. we just get bored and do easy stuff. |
Glad the housing admin can make some levels.
As-if the LATs ever would. *cough* Actually sounds kinda fun. :P |

Sounds fun.
However, make sure you've added a GUI of some sorts to allow the team to vote on who gets to legitimize their answer. It could get messy with four people answering at once. |

It's currently set up to where anyone on the team can answer. Would it be such a big issue, having more than one person answer at once? |
On-paper, it'd seem not... but make sure its practical through testing.
All four people writing different answers just seems to take away from the "team-factor". Could it randomly select a player on the team to designate as "answerer"? A position which is randomized per question? That way, they'd have to speak through "/tg" and state possible answers and etc. Not a complete thought, but just something along the lines of adding teamwork to the mix. Makes no sense to have teams if you never need to communicate. |
Ahh, i get what you mean. I'm not sure what we'll do yet..we're also late in releasing it :< i was gone all day
