Spar Tournament Saturday!
 

On Saturday, June 25, starting at 2:30 PM EST we'll be hosting a series of spar tournaments involving different weapons (e.g. Bamboo Rod, Swords, Daggers)

The spar's will consist of either Free For All's, which would be all players participating in the entire spar fighting for first place, or a chain-style spar which would be 1v1's until the final winner.

All weapons will be provided to you. Holy possession will be allowed before the start of every spar. Healing is completely illegal during any spar, if caught healing you will be disqualified and pillored until the duration of the spar tournaments. More specifics on the rules will be said on the day of the spar.

Prizes will be very worthwhile, every spar may have a prize, and then the finalists may spar for the grand prize in a specific spar of my choice, or said otherwise on the day of the spar.

I hope to see many turn out for the Saturday Spar Tournaments! :)

(I may be holding raffles, and other larger than normal prizes before and after the spars!)

I try to host a lot of the events that I'm personally hosting on Sunday, but that's when I work (@ 4PM, so any event would have to be very early to have plenty of time)

Why enable the use of holy possession when the weapons will be provided to us?

Or all we allowed to use our own swords?

You can use your own blade for some of the tournaments.

Though i'd rather not see the use of holy posseson when the clean weapons will be given out, that would give ogma users a huge advantage to the spar.

Ogma users have the advantage here. But it should still be fun. :cool:

I'd love to not allow holy possession but it's too much to watch for while also watching spar for healing, etc. Nothing is stopping you from god changing to Ogma :D

I'll think about what rounds it shouldn't be allowed on, and a better way to watch for it.

Even Sunday's better, not desirable, but better, than Saturday. I don't know about everyone, but I'm doing **** Saturday, not playing GK :(

Congratulations to Drk who won 3/5 of the spars AND took home the grand prize, even though the final pick for the spar was in Essences favor. Essence came in second winning 2/5 of the spars.

Thanks to everyone who participated, everyone did very good, I experienced a lot of very intense fights today. :)

Only felt serious lag for the first spar, after that it pretty much calmed down for the remainder.

I would have postponed it to next week, but I have an event planned ; )
