any coming up in the foreseeable future? cuz there's plenty of staff members and alf keeps talking about how there will be huge updates soon (soon was said over a month ago)

Venom_Fish 06-21-2011 10:15 PM

I do what I say.
So, take my word for it. The "soon" Alf spoke about can be reiterated through the SOON I'm stating now. The new update (massive) will be VERY VERY soon. =].

Soon!
(hopefully)

all words, era staff should be more concrete instead of announcing updates that aren't there yet

I'm PRETTY sure that's why he put "soon"...

Things change at the snap of a finger. Hurdles are met that need dealt with accordingly. Era's current staff team is VERY productive, regardless of whether you see it or not, Tk.

If you invested half the time learning a staff-trade (GAT, NAT, LAT, etc) that you do whining incessantly, you'd have a chance (albeit slim, because let's face it, you're a constipated little monkey) at contributing to Era's progression.

It's so blatantly obvious that our current staff team is doing a piss-poor job of providing the playerbase with updates/improvements... so why don't you attempt to do something about it other than running your mouth?

Calm down Grimm, lol, don't let people like that get you worked up, man.
Actions speak louder than words, so our best approach is to let them ramble and shut them up later.

We're not gearing towards adding a "Ferrari" or miniscule updates that do little to nothing but cluster gameplay.

We're emphasizing MAJOR updates and perhaps gearing toward solving Era's LONGEST and most FUNDAMENTAL problems. These don't take a day of preparation and execution. However, what was needed to be said, has been said.
Rest is left to action. Wait for it.

-Count on it.

Great advice. We often welcome the help of players. A great example of this is Rogue working on some levels for us. Hes simply a player wanting to help Era.

Stuff doesn't instantly happen.. you know this right?

Players should be informed of change so they can give their opinions and hopefully positive input, also so things aren't too big of a surprise or shock to the community that could potentially cause problems.

--Example--
Say someone is running for president, they outline what they are going to change in their campaign. This is what most people vote based on. The voters know the stuff won't instantly happen when that person is elected, but they know that is what will be worked on and hopefully be changed in the future should that person take office.
--Example--

If you don't like being told things before they happen, and just like to complain about every idea (before it is introduced).. maybe you should find yourself a new hobby outside of Era.
