Clientside Attachplayertoobj Problems
This has been happening since the day attachplayertoobj came out several years ago.
If you attach a player to an object clientside, then the player enters a new level while attached to the object, when the player detaches it will warp the player somewhere a few levels away and everything will turn black on the level canvas. It would be great if this could be fixed so we can attach players to objects clientside for things like bridges, docks, etc. There is too much waiting time between the client talking to the server for it to smoothly work serverside. It makes it impossible to have scripted bridges that work smoothly because when the player walks up to the bridge, s/he must wait until the server attaches him to the object in order to continue walking. |
Iirc attaching clientside also causes a bug where you appear on the screens of other players within different levels.
