Mafia Life - Hiring (Graphics)
 
With summer here for some of us and right around the corner for others, development on Mafia Life is picking up. If you are unfamiliar with what Mafia Life is, you can find detailed information about the server here.

Who are you?
You should be a dedicated pixel artist who is familiar in working with tiles as well as sprites. You should be able to work well in a team and take criticism on your own work.

Who should you contact?
If you are interested in this position you may contact the manager or any of the server administrators.

Manager: CouldntDeal (IzariusRyudo)
Administrators: Sage (DeCeaseD), Vin (Adidas), Downsider (Breadsticks)

What should you have prepared?
You should have an example of previous graphics you have made to show us. While we should be able to determine if you're the right fit for our server, please be aware that we may ask to see work of more relevance to a 1930s city theme.

If I'm understanding what you mean by cluttered correctly, we're going for that kind of a look. We want a downtown city appearance--close buildings, alley ways, etc. Most buildings and walls are images that drawoverplayer, so while it appears cluttered in those screenshots it is easy to maneuver around as a player.

Haha, yeah, the tree isn't finished obviously. That's why were here looking for another graphics artist to join the team.

Well, like I said, the buildings don't take up nearly that much space because players can walk behind them. But, yes, PKing will require a more tactical approach as opposed to:
1) Shoot
2) Turn
3) Run
4) Turn
5) Repeat steps 1-4

Let me guess. Instead it'll be like this:
1) Block all escape routes
2) Shoot
3) Repeat

Graal is 2D, not 3D. The cluttered stuff doesn't work well with guns in a 2D game.
