Small changes to GK

Some small changes have been made to Graal Kingdoms recently, so I will update the community of those changes here.

- Graal Kingdoms has introduced a new swear filter. By default, your swear filter will be enabled, however, you may choose to disable it now by saying "/swearfilter off". The options are: off, on, strict. Right now mass messages are not monitored, but if it becomes a problem, we'll re-add the filter and it will be forced. This is not a free ticket for harassment, check our rules for clarification. Additionally, if your filter is disabled, it is now your responsibility to manually delete swear words from your screenshots before posting them to the forums if you participate in our screenshot threads.

- We've added some more complicated logging procedures to a few things like trade tables to improve security of our members. Now staff members will be able to more easily search for any scammed or lost items and these tools will be accessible to more staff members (previously it was only accessible by 3 people or so).

- The Q menu has been edited slightly to support larger numbers better. Text no longer runs out of the edge of the frames if the numbers are too large in the experience for your levels.

- Some problems with the mudlib allowing staff members to be impenetrable to spells cast by monsters have been corrected and staff members are now correctly damaged.

- Food digestion has been slightly modified.

- Player speed is now bounded by a lower value of 0.8. This means that newer players can experience GK with lightning speed!!

- Castle doors and battle doors have been fixed on v6. They are also more responsive all-together and no longer change your walking animation (sometimes it was hiding your weapon before).

If you have any questions about any of these updates, feel free to post them here.

Really nice work :D

Great stuff! I like the new numbers, exp is also much easier to read. You could probably do this in the statistics (F2) too?

The problem with this is that players like to see exactly how much experience they have (e.g. for seeing how much they get from a Brutal map). We could certainly comma-tize it to make it easier to read, though.

I take it exact experience is still available through /statistics or /skills. Good change. I hope the other issues with the Q-menu are addressed, such as how outdated the inventory is.

I would like to suggest taking a good long look at all of the gods, the granted spells, the enchantment types and maybe even the relics too, many of the effects like blind, confuse, fear, ghosthit and paralyze do not seem to have a real use in the game.

Some gods don't even give relics (balor, bile, diancecht) or do not offer good enough bonuses to bother followoing them, while other gods can give multiple relics (brigid, ogma) perhaps a small or even total revamp of the gods in some way? Though this might be difficult since there are many monsters that are not assigned penalties against the effects i mentioned above unless new monsters can be added or existing monsters are changed also.

a lot of those things have to have Stefan's intervention.

Could always display both

Or comma-tize it as you said.

But I guess it's good as it is right now :)

I'd prefer thousand seperators over that.

So people carrying an entire house package will still be able to move?

Define "scammed", like trading crap for a really rare item?

Because that happened recently.

Edit: In which case, if this was only implemented recently, these new logs probably don't have it, though it was a few days ago.

For a definition of what we consider to be scamming, please contact a GP or the GP Admin (Stephen) with a detailed description of what happened and the situation will be handled accordingly. In general though, just trading a really rare item for a bad item is just a bad trade- not a scam and it's just a consequence of a free-trade market, however, like I said, it depends on the circumstance.

Additionally, we have logs that date back for quite some time (years), they have just been hard to read and required RC to access them. The new logs are extremely easy to read and don't require RC.
