Why can't I use updated tiles?

When I update my tileset, my Graal Editor tiles don't update with it. Please help! :)

Where are you saving the updated tileset? If it's being uploaded to a server, are you sure you're using the right tiledefs?

Im updating my vortex_tiles.png, in the levels>tiles
then re-uploading it to my server. My server changes, but not my Graal Editor

If I understand correctly, you want to view a custom tileset in the GraalEditor.

Go to the post. Download the attachment. Replace pics1.png with your tileset image.

You could also give the Gonstruct a try if you like.

Why would you replace pics1.png? It sounds like he has two copies of his tileset inside his Graal folder or his tiledefs are messed up.

How do I fix my tiledefs then?

Go to the tiledefs folder in your Graal folder (I think it's inside levels) and delete tiledefsOffline.txt. Copy and paste tiledefsServerName.txt (using the one for your server) and rename it to tiledefsOffline.txt.

I am talking about the pics1.png that comes with the attached zip in the post I linked, not the one in the Graal directory. It is an alternative to changing the tiledefs.

He has told us that he can see the tileset changes when on the server, but not when editing levels in his GraalEditor. By downloading the attachment he could use a GraalEditor which is not located in the Graal folder, which solves this problem if it exists:

The newly downloaded GraalEditor would also be initially set to use the default tiledefs. That means it uses pics1.png, which can be replaced at will, which solves:

It's a quick fix that would solve the problem, but then he doesn't have any of his images, and he has to update the tileset both inside that folder as well as on his server.

True. That is one extra step. However, it is not a bad idea to keep a backup of the tileset image in a location where it cannot be overwritten by the Graal client.

How will I fix this though?

I'm starting to wonder if you're just trolling.
