What Zone needs...
 

What Zone needs is a complete overhaul.

Zone needs to be removed from the list, and the current team needs to be removed. They've given nothing to show that their abilities can help Zone. A team that actually wants to improve Zone and can actually do it needs to step in. I'm glad the current team is doing what they can, but it's not enough. Not to mention the restrictions that are put on the managers of the server to point where it's not really their server to manage.

Zone needs to revert back before the Gelat shop, everything that was once in the in-game shop be put back in and put in things that don't really impact gameplay put into the shop.

Zone is probably one of the most unique server's Graal has put forth, and it's very sad to see how it gets treated as some test animal. It was the first with the iPhone, gelat shop, and observer mode.

What Zone really needs is someone who actually cares and have the ability to improve the server. Only person that I've seen that has that ability, and seems to have done some good is Gambet.

I don't know much about Gambet, only know that he was pushed away by SN and the restrictions put on managers drove him away.

Agree with all that's up there. Zone used to be the server with the best gameplay by far (at least that's what I thought). Now it seems all we have to offer are horrible managers, who think they know what they're fooling around with on the server. But really they don't have a ****ing clue what they're doing. The only thing I see Powerpro doing is adding unfinished weapons and copying past managers. If you're completely lost and have no clue what you're messing around with, the least you could do is ask your players what they do and don't want to see implemented on the server.

You're also not helping Zone by hiring anybody on your friends list without an application, and giving them an instant ET tag, while letting others get away with spawning weapons for themselves.

Personally, I'd think Zone would be a LOT more fun with an economy. If it was a futuristic version of Graal Kingdoms (not to the core, just the basis), that you had gear and upgrades and possible leveling of your weapon skills (as in pistol levels, rife levels, special weapon levels) and a very guild-based server setting, it'd be a lot better.

Theres really no reason for me to idle on Zone, it's just waiting for the next fight... which is really not much fun either. There HAS to be something to work towards, and currently being on Zone with the payment system your time is only running out on your prized guns.

Thanks for your idea. But the actual problem is that we don't have someone decent who can develop all the great ideas that are out there.

Zone really shouldn't have an economy from really lack of ways to gain money besides killing and not alot of people are playing, but the leveling system I'd be interested in for weapons. Increase damage, reduce freeze. Things like that I'd like to see in it.

I'd love to see guild-based events take over but it needs a developmental team that actually will work towards this and not random mp3 players.

The players have already shown that they cannot handle an economy in the past. Now I'm hearing they might start doing perm weapon auctions, which will bring Zone an economy, but will also attract USD punks like ddc.

When I saw this thread, for some reason I thought fondly back to the time when SN just sort of locked every Zone thread.

Wow, I'm honestly a bit disappointed that you would even say that. Pretty sure this complaint along with its useless suggestions has gone on for more than two years. Everyone knows staff aren't doing anything so that is the reason nothing is being done. Also, no one cares for Zone because it's not worth the time to fix. It's old and outdated, and this post is just the same as the others, or ingame complaints that have been going for two years.

ihave a suggestion, if everyone boycots gelat weapons, the lack of income from zone would force stefan to make changes to improve it...or delete it :P

If an almost constant 0 player-count doesn't prompt him to make changes/update Zone I don't see how boycotting gelat weapons would make him do ****. Besides it's the gelats hes making money off not after the fact zone weapons.

The past 2 years there have been many threads about what should be done with Zone, RARELY I've seen anything been changed or at least the change didn't work. :( ilosthope

Zone is dead just delete it , it was fun while it lasted I can very well say but its not fun anymore.
This isn't the first thread like this so obviously he does not even care about zone nothing can be done unless Disney buys graal.

Sadly, Zone is so far in the future (Way beyond the measly 1800s) that we outlawed trading on account of the fact that we can instantaneously spawn these weapons and their ammunitions. Based on the past history of vicious permanent murders over "unfair" trades, the Zone government felt it necessary to provide no ability for its people to trade. Especially when certain beings are able to instantaneously spawn these weapons.

Along with this the Zone government also created weapons that were not trade-able so individual citizens could be recognized for their extreme skill and prowess. These weapons were sheer awesome in power and are unable to be transferred without removing the very essence, the soul, of the weapon that makes it permanent. For that "soul" of the weapon to be removed, the Zone diety's, the almighty Stefan and Zone's trickster patron and oracle, Supernanny, are the only beings capable of removing such ferociously awesome power.

Stefan, following Supernanny's judgement (Clouded as it may be), is not willing to tamper with the very laws of the universe, the NPC-server out of fear of the results. And that is why Zone does not have a trading system.

Also, Supernanny's inherently misguided beliefs were reason to believe that the very discussion of a trading system is not necessary for Zone. For that very discussion is a topic that will never be implemented due to the dangerous effects of tampering with the NPC-server's will. Therefore there will be no further discussion of a Zone trading system.

The plan is to make a new Zone server for iPhone and also make it playable from PC. There is quite a lot of content on Zone which can be used, it just lacked some stuff which make people stay on the server.

That's giving a distinct advantage to the PC players, you're also going to need new mangement for Zone if you actually want actual good updates. Not to mention the corruption going on, and with the new playercount that's going to be rolling in, I suggest you find someone suitable to replace PowerProNL.

From the last three managers, we've gotten bunker, new weapons that further ruined gameplay, and horrible remakes.

When PC and iPhone combine, will there be a reset?

If so, do the players who earned/bought (from the Graal Store) perm items get removed?

Zone needed to be reset years ago and still does now. After several changes are made to gameplay of course.
Sounds interesting, the iphone app will advertise nicely for PC Zone.
If you took Zone 5-6 years ago with the ET commands and Squad system (assuming this still works) we have today, providing the right people were in the ET positions, you would have a server that rarely gets bored.

Zone had gameplay? :P zone is just a domination type event that repeats constantly.
What zone need is monsters that will splat when you shoot them (because thats fun and slime everywhere is cool),
space ships that lets you attack from air and maybe fly to other planets (I guess zone would be better of in 3d so you could actually fly or maybe 2d mix with 3d? xD)
dungeons (old stuff from the past like underground buildings), caves, quests and objectives like lets say you need to gather resources for your team so you can build a reaper or w/e but the cave that contains that resource is filled with awesome monsters and stuff like that. just some random ideas.
