Vinka Quits!
 

Long story short, about a month ago I bought my server in the hopes of creating my own dream server that could possibly contribute to the comeback of PC Graal. Surprisingly, I burned out pretty quick. Countless reasons.

I hope the picture is clear.. I put in my buddy MattKan in there who helped me alot in the past few weeks.. May you never get burned in the Graal, Matt.

And mods please don't take it as offensive, it's not meant to be. This is just me clarifying why I quit.

I think it would have been better if the Graal contained money as the fuel for baking the bread.

Why is it that a Playerworld gets put on the announcements on client, and then like 2 days later the owner quits? I don't see the point in it.

In all seriousness though, while I don't condone how so much of the policies revolve around easy ways to make money rather than creating the best possible game it is extremely unfair to pin blame on them in this way.

It"s not necessarily blame, it might be an extremely lame excuse... This is just my way of saying good bye.
I do really hope Stefan and Unixmad change their approach, and grasp the full potential PC Graal really has. Best of luck.

It's always a shame to see a developer go. But you'll end up finding something better, I'm sure.

It's simply a thing of the past. Like the first Starcraft. They have their moments, and then slowly die off until the sequel, or a better game come out.

Starcraft never "slowly died out". It had a very competitive scene all the way up to SC2. Wouldn't be surprised if it still does.

I wish people would come on here before purchasing a server. So we could warn them of the scam, and at the very least inform them on what to do before purchasing a server. (Start in offline editor, work on testbed, etc.)

Cuz the announcement was made under the impression that Europa would be finished, i.e. become an amazing server.

At least this proves my point against Wan's "developers gonna develop" theory. Graal just isn't marketable as a development platform, and shouldn't depend on the potential of developers.

Well, I have a few doubts about that, seeing servers like Atlantis.

My loss in motivation was mostly personal, I found a far more worthwhile and rewarding pastime in real life. I just couldn't devote that much time in Europa anymore. And considering PC Graal's current state didn't make it feel like it would be worth it in the end.
