Graal RC for Ipod/Iphone and windows phone

Please make RC available on the app store and market place for users to manage their servers via ipod and windows phone!^^

It has been discussed on the forums already.
Such app wouldn't be distributed on the appstore, since it costs money, and people would certainly download it without knowing what it is for. Stefan surely wouldn't make it for free.

If the app was made, everyone would have to jailbreak his iPhone/iPod to install it.

What do you need RC for? You wouldn't want to do anything useful like scripting on a phone. If all you need is the chat room, use AIM.

Why couldn't it be free?

If I recall correctly, you need to pay Apple to get your app on the appstore. I think Stefan would try and get some money back? Also, developing such tool would take some time I believe.
If it isn't distributed through the appstore and is available for free, then you'd obviously have to jailbreak your iphone to use it.

But what if your RC gets things such as notices echoed to it? o3o

You have to pay $100 annually to be a member of the development program. This enables you to place applications on the store. Free applications don't cost the developer anything except the annual $100. Apple takes a 30% cut on all paid applications.

(this is from a couple years back but I don't think it's changed)

What kind of notices are so urgent that you need them on your phone? Seems like a stretch.

I thought you paid the SDK + a tax on free apps too.
Well thanks for the info

Cubical 03-26-2011 04:44 PM

I wouldn't mind being on rc on the go.

McChucken 03-27-2011 03:17 AM

See. Cubical agrees!
