my sound is broken

sfx on f3 menu is at maximum and ive tried to change tryloadsoundson64bit= in game_config file from false to true but it's not working
any suggestions to fix this problem?

lol it was rly hard to fix but i managed to fix it finally

i right clicked on the graal icon, went to properties, compatibility and i chose to make it compatible with windows XP (my laptop is windows 7)
