Hi there.
About a week and a half ago I started my own server.. called Europa. And have been working quite some hours on it. Since it get's kind of lonely on my server, I would like to know what other people think :), opinions/critique are really appreciated.

Here's a pic of the OSL where you are resurrected from your grave, it's basicly a piece of land floating in near space above the lands of Europa:

I just finished the houses today, although I'm not entirely happy with them I'll keep them for now. I realize the tileset doesn't match the houses yet quite well, I'm still working on it.

Oh, and please forgive my ugly LAT skills ;) they aren`t done.. and literally the first two levels I've ever made.

Those houses are fantastic. The levels aren't bad for a first time, either. Good job so far!

I like the graphics, yet I smell a narcissistic style with all of the graphics of you.

The WIP level looks really clashing color-wise, but I'm interested in seeing how it ends up.

That's a run on sentence. You also misused an ellipsis and forgot an apostrophe.

Looks pretty awesome...the houses in the town look nice too. Kind of like a GK style...except less crappy.

A whole server made out of those sketchy graphics might look nice. Especially if they were less detailed. I'm thinkin' Wind Waker.

Yep, you're right.. Gotta start making a cohesive tileset which match my house and statue graphics, without going too overboard.. (I still want it to give it a classic feel.)

By the way, for those who logged on and wondered, I also made the music you heard there.. although it was just a quick composition to test it out. I'm a hobbyist music producer, and I guess that's a nice plus as a developer on Graal to distinguish yourself from many of the other UC servers.

Basicly all I would only need a decent NAT (and perhaps a LAT) , to reach the goals I set out for Europa.. :) I find scripting really difficult, I'm more of an artistic person than a technical one.

And if anyone is wondering about the concept of the bigger picture, plus the gameplay of it all, you can log on and you will see a concept room on the right, that should explain some things :)!

Those are menly breasts of muscle. I might edit him a little, and add more detail to match the houses a little better.

To my knowledge there is a gmap for each country, Its just the Western Marketplace.

lol just ignore him. Anyway I love the server concept and the unique style of latting and graphics. Not being like all the other servers with the iNoobs is a great start. Keep up the good work :D

Maybe somewhere in the future after you get your server up and running, whomever you appoint as a GFX artist could try making a selection of heads/bodies with the same style as those buildings. That'd be pretty nifty.

I love the way they look. Let's hope to see a tileset that works better with them :D

I'm honestly not a fan of the mixture of styles (digital art & pixel) or the use of Dusty's free tiles. Good luck with the server though.

oh and by the way the reason for firing everyone was mainly inactivity so don't get a bad impression as he had reason. So if working for him and are active your safe :P

That's incorrect. He fired people, not because they were inactive, but because his server was going in a direction that he did not intend. He wished to map out some ideas on his own without other people interfering, so he has temporarily removed Staff RCs. He will add them back ina couple weeks, however.

Yeah, well me neither - at least not on those images I posted. Right now I'm trying to find the right balance, between staying a classic type server, and a GK-inspired graphical server.
