Regardless of what it's worth, refraim from posting in my thread unless you're here to conduct business, nullify.

I don't find the shield useless at all! In fact, it has the potential to be one of the best shields in the game.

Dual RoW + FHoM + raging + giants. Then you add that shield, and bam you have 565hp, now add a azure crystal blade and you have 580hp.

Or, instead you could use a shield that gave a useful stat such as speed. That small of a HP increase is rather trivial.

Yup. Max HP increases aren't worth it currently. If there was a Max HP/SP/Grace boosting Bracer, cape or mask, that would be ideal. The shield slot is too important and any hp/con on a weapon is also quite useless.

I disagree! But it's a hard argument. Once you're 5.866 speed, anything extra seems relatively useless in battle. I'd rather the extra health. Of course, you could argue that once the hp is lower than 540, it was all for nothing, and speed is something that lasts a whole battle (unless poisoned). But on the other side of the discussion, sometimes an opponent will only hit you for 3-8 damage if they're unlucky (even fully prepped weapons).

Both can be quite useful, it's all about what you value more. Speed or hp cushioning.

If you had the "dream gear" you could. RoW's, Sammies, Bunny tail, and an rda. Ideally, you'd need

Dual RoW, FHoM, bunny mask, bunny tail, gale, giants, rda, raging, giants, samurai boots, and the frost shield of fortitude to successfully pull off the build I was promoting.

That's a lot of USD!

Shelling out large sums of money for instant gratification on obtaining virtual items makes little to no sense to me...

Doesn't that steal away from the grind/headache as well as the "Hooray!" and sigh of relief once you get them legitimately? x_X

Exactly! I also feel it's the exact same thing when new players go "Level me level me!" It's like, why would you want me to bypass you through your whole GK experience? *sigh*.

That's partially the reason I no* longer play D2: LOD. They implemented that whole d2.jsp/forum gold system, completely ruining D2 Z_z
You can't join a game or create one now without being flooded with ten spam bots for five minutes either >_>
