How would I set an HUD?
|
wat does "setting an hud" mean?
|
A/AN - Lesson on Articles
WHEN TO USE -A- Use a if the next word begins with a consonant SOUND. This is a sound rule, NOT a spelling rule. a box a cat a university (university begins with a consonant sound) a unicorn (unicorn begins with a consonant sound) a European trip (European begins with a consonant sound) a hotel (hotel begins with a consonant sound) WHEN TO USE -AN- Use AN if the next word begins with a vowel SOUND. This is a sound rule, NOT a spelling rule. an atom an entrance an ice cream cone an uncle (uncle begins with a vowel sound) an hour (the h is silent, thus a vowel sound) |

The acronym HUD starts with H(pronounced Aich), which is a consonant sound. As for the topic, I'm not sure what you're requesting an HUD for. |

Oh and I've always pronounced it "HUD" not "aych u d" |
Normally I expand abbreviations as I come to them in text.
So I don't say hud, or aych you dee, I say heads up display. In which case it's still an 'a' and not an 'an'. |
id suggest using gui controls if you don't. Have images and if you do then i'd use a guicontrol as container and then overlay other invisible gui controls over top of it if you want any kind of interaction. Never really been a fan of the showimg approach but that's just a personal preference. I

I say HUD, too, or usually expand abbreviations out as Demisis said. My point was that MattKan is being an douche.
