Weapons to Improve
 

Just drawing weapons for the hell of it.

Its been awhile for me, but to keep it short and simple.

Looking for any advice to improve these weapon graphics, starting off with this sword...

Totally inspired by Dagger of Ra from Elk.

It's a Short Sword

The handle looks nice and reminds me of Aeko's style. The blade itself is kinda plain and empty, I suggest you add one more shade of gray.

Remember, it is a Short Sword, but I'll keep and mind and see what I can do with the blade.

Looks like you're on the right track, but there was one thing that bothered me.

Generally you should try to avoid these sort of lines (particularly at the edges of a sprite) mainly because it tends to make the image look.. for lack of a better word, too pixel-y.

The fat handle bothers me some but rest is awesome :)
