This is more recent effects I have made ones a black hole, and ones a healing effect that would go around you character after being healed or eating a cookie or using a medkit! :) these are just ideas i would like the share and show of my skills in gfx enjoy!

The healing effect might be hard to see on Irica but I could always fix that if needed.!

The heal looks divine, though I'm not so sure about the blackhole.
The blackhole seems rather calm and I would think a sudden blackhole wherever you place it should be very chaotic or wait is that what you would rather rely on a particle emitter to provide that said chaotic atmosphere to the blackhole?

A black hole is very calm not chaotic what it swallows up is chaotic for example a sun i would be burning flames coiling into its core till nothing is left. A black hole by its self is calm and peaceful you wouldn't know your in one until its too late.

Just a normal photo shop program and some editing it takes time and effort to make details and glowing lighting...
