Game Crashes and More
 

Okay, so as most of you know I just switched to Ubuntu Linux.
I managed to get Graal up and running, with help from a friend. I always keep both, v5 and v6 just in case.
A lot of things won't load for some reason, including bodies.
It may just be my pc, but it also crashes every time I get on Zodiac. Not immediately, but within a minute or so of logging on to the server.
What's going on? And does anyone else have this problem?
It happens with both clients by the way.

How are you launching Graal? Are you using a launcher or did you copy the actual client to your desktop or so?

Well I put a shortcut in the toolbar and a launcher on the desktop, those are what I'm using. Should I launch it directly from the applications tab?

The same thing happens to me on Linux Mint 10 for RC.
I tried quite a few times to have a shortcut on my desktop but launching it from there just loads an empty serverlist.

Well it loads for me, and most servers work fine, it just doesn't display some bodies and graphics and it always crashes the way I described when I go on Zodiac.

If you're using the launcher it provides I have no idea why it wouldn't show bodies/heads. Might be the problem that was fixed with v6. Ask Zodiac if they have any requestURLs running on Login. There was a similar problem on Mac on Era and Zodiac. It was fixed with a release of v6.

edit: Zodiac works fine for me on Ubuntu so I doubt that's the problem, though.

Well I have the Linux v6, and in fact even less stuff works on there. And it still crashes with v6 on Zodiac.

Maybe it's just my piece of **** computer. X,X

I looked in the Game messages & Engine log, and stuff like this is happening.

Is the folder misplaced or something?

Those error messages almost certainly mean the heads/bodies aren't uploaded to the server.

Well why won't it display the bodies that ARE uploaded?
