Green, Too much Greeenn,
Trees and grass colors are almost identical

Twilikari 12-31-2010 12:17 AM

Thanks :D
I'm aware of that problem, but sadly those are the only functional colors this tileset has to offer, but they are updating it :D

Green and brown, that's all I can see. Levels are rather simple too, but good start I guess :)
Try to get long bushes with less saturation/contrast also, they look like biochemical stuff

I'll make sure to tell the person who is working on the tileset to change that ! Thanks !

When you use custom tilesets you don't have to level them like a generic pics1 tileset, the whole point of going custom is so don't have to especially when you're just creating the overworld.

Save yourself leveling time by making a decent enough tileset that you don't have to spend hours on end doing random/stupid detailing.

Don't copy and paste the houses.

I know this tileset has a large amount of grass layer color variations (huff puff), so use them to detail! :)

thanks :D
and Mattkan, I just realized that's what those are for, I never even looked at that section before Xp

Looks rather plain.

Two things I can think of:
Don't use so many pebbles in your sand detailing.
Make the sand paths (particularly in the second level) more like sand paths and less like big blobs :P

You forgot to finish the cliff work on the left side of the first image.

Twilikari 12-31-2010 07:21 PM

Once again, thanks :D
And I'm aware of the cliffs, that area is still under development xD
