Your way of fishing
Well I am pretty much stumped on this. From a player perspective, what would you prefer fishing to be on a server? Fishing that is fun, addicting, rewarding, all without the player losing care about it. Fishing that dose not seam repetitive the more you play it.
In my option the finest fishing I have seen and experienced was Zenkou's. It was fun, fast, and took some practice, but I don't want to recreate their system and get flamed for it. "Oh this is stolen from zenkou, lame.", yea I don't want that. So I am turning to you guys. In your own options how would you like to fish?. How would it need to be for you to play it over and over again and still enjoy it?. |
The best. The timing and DDR minigames are overused.

I can't recall playing that particular Zelda , maybe you could give some details towards how it works and its playability. Maybe even some ideas on how to implement it into a server.

press button to cast, press button to reel in fish, it's not rocket science.

Whales.

I would prefer a quest where you hijack a fishing boat and steal all of the crew's belongings.

(Could also do this from on a fishing boat) |
Dark Cloud 2/Twilight Princess.

Underwater spearfishing.
That's how I'd do it anyway. |
You'll need a strong meta-game to compliment the fishing mini-game.
If the only positive of fishing is earning money per fish I'm going to lean towards the job that makes the most money instead of the enjoyment factor in most cases. |

Of course with every skill; the higher your level, the more money you make. We're not focusing on the money made here, we're asking what players would like to see as far as fishing goes. |
Grab the fish with your hands and strangle it.
Best fishing method ever. If you can actually pull it off. XD |
In my opinion, keep it hard and rewarding. If theres a chance that I can catch a $1m fish, i'll stay there all night. Just make it rewarding, but not too easy or else people will macro it 24/7.
