Is there any software out there that could possibly enhance and make the default sound levels even louder...?

Try Audacity just google it. If you want to make MP3 players don't forget to get the LAME library for audacity. It's free, Free not freemium. It'll make it louder, Don't know about enhancing it though, If you're looking for pristine quality then this may not be the best option for ya.
