General hiring
UN is hiring: graphics, levels, scripters, and sound effects/music staff.
These hirings all close on October 10th, though I may fill the positions before then.
I'm looking for all branches of development with the exception of ganis.
All applications are available in-game. PM the NPC-Server 'natapp' 'latapp' 'gatapp' and 'soundapp' for the applications.
For graphics, I'm looking for pixel artists; skill with alpha is a huge plus. Must be able to create detailed graphics that still appear classic-themed without being bland or over-detailed. Types of graphics will range from generic graphics (low in complexity) to plants to cut gems and other high-detail work.
For levels, skill with both inside and outside levels is a must, as is detailing. UN uses a slightly modified pics1, and the style is heavy detail with very few straight edges, and very little symmetry. While not all levels are going to be like this, you'll need to be able to replicate it. Originality and creative design is a plus. Basic scripting knowledge is also a huge plus, though not required.
For scripting, I'm looking for specific skills and a few general scripters as well. Skills in any of the following is a plus:
* GUI Design
* Converting and improving existing scripts
* Cleaning up messes left by previous scripters
* Back-end systems
* Particle emitters
For sound effects, I'm hiring one or two people with talent in creating simple, short sound effects (up to around 5 seconds long) and in composing music (either midi or full waveform) for various aspects of the server. Not overly picky on the style so long as it fits the classic theme to a fair degree.
