Usable Bar

Well guys, I threw together a quick level for the heck of it. While designing this level I wanted to make a 'usable' level. Or a level that doesn't have details that get in the way of actually playing. This level could be used as a place to start a quest, or just a fun building. This level was aimed at some newer level designers who could hopefully learn a simple technique from it. Well, feel free to have it!

It has walls on the inside but not on the outside? I'm also not sure what technique (or if it even is one) you're even trying to display here.

Well I've seen servers with walls like this. To me it kind of looked as if the black tiles were clay, and the room is simply an indentation in the clay. I just wanted to try it out =P

The walls right beside the bar are smaller than the others (2 tiles in height instead of 3).

Reminds me of the cave styles on Valikorlia.

Yea, I should of taken that into account while designing that level. To late I realized that with the tileset I use, if I make the protruding wall 3 tiles, the tiles don't play nice together. I would post an example, but I am not at my house at the moment.

once again another level that gives me ideas for my work... I see that you said its a quick level also, so im not going to say anything about the floor patterns xD

the quote is slightly off topic... sorry

Yea, I've always preferred to style levels without the hanging outer walls as well. The perspective is a lot better and gives a bit of extra room to work with/more possible outline designs.

Pretty cool

iphone tileset looks really funny (in a bad way of course), and the level is a bit plain but ok for its purpose i suppose. i used to kind of make my insides like that in 2003 xD, was never any good though.

Its ok...

Also It looks like there is more blackness rightside than the leftside. Because you've made a symmetrical you should make sure it's dead center or else it just looks weird.
