tileset help.
 

ok so i made a tile for my server and it says, "pic1.png could not be found in the graal folder!" but it is. dont insult it if you dont like it i just need help.

Holy **** did your tileset get thrown in a washer?

First, what are you trying to do?

If you are trying to use the tileset on your server, best is to upload it in the images folder of your file browser. It needs to be uploaded on your server to work.
Secondly, do not name it pics1.png but rather another name, for example servername_tileset.png. This way, people visiting your server will not have their tileset used on other servers replaced by yours.

If you are trying to load this tileset in the offline editor, then I suggest you tell us how you did exactly to try to make it work.

Delete FILENAMESCACHE.txt in your Graal folder.

Looks like pics1 with a random tree and lamp. Tree looks like something straight outta clip art too.

Why not just use pics1 and make the tree/lamp as images, that'd work better anyway cause you could trans them to overlap things better. Even make the lamp an object and mess with some glows/lights on it.

Also, your error is probably because you didn't change the name of the tileset *insert facepalm image here*:p

A darker pics1.png and a tree that needs work. Well, just keep working on it.

holy crap i know its not good. i randomly did this because im EXPERIMENTING changing tilesets. since im a noob at latting and started last saturday. jeez.

dude this is a test to see how it works since im a noob at LATing. in other words random experimenting. jeez i said not to insult it i just wanted help...

LAT != making tilesets, but using them.
Making tilesets would be GFX.

Also, why buy a server if you're a 'noob'. I'm sure you could find a empty server or a WIP that would hire you so you can practice.

im not buying it yet. im helping LAT on a server called xazier and gating stuff for JamesJaames and slowly planning it out. ill buy it in a month or so when im ready.

even though its a test i took out the washed look and added other stuff since almost everyone was rudley insulting me and not giving me advice which i needed.

thats what im planning to do. this is just a test. me and a few others are spriting alot to match its style.

Looks better, but I wouldn't suggest just recoloring the stuff, should organize it and make the missing tiles it needs. Especially don't make it darker, makes the server look boring *cough* Era *cough*. Make it you're own, not a copy of something else, It'll always come out better and easier to use.

I like the trees but I still suggest making them images so you can make only the trunk blocking and walk under the tops, and so overlapping looks right (since they're smaller than the normal tree tops). It'll also save you room on the tileset for those much needed missing tiles (I search on pics1 for some certain corner tiles all the time and can never find them :cry:). Also the top of the gray tree seems to be missing some details.

My opinions cause they matter.

i plan on making my own unique tiles for the majority of the entire thing based on the style of the tree. mainly because alot of my friends made well-LATed servers but had absolutley no tile changes so they seemed boring. i dont want to do that. i want it to look more abstract and free flowing. once i have all the core tiles done and fixed (since this was only a test) ill post some screenshots. ill also do what you said about the tree.
