Free ECs
I've noticed that people (especially in the mornings, Europe time it's when it's as easiest) are doing the /evote all the time, this in order to get "Free ECs".
What am I talking about? One person does the /evote and picks for an instance "Race" he knows he is definitely going to win the race (no worries there) he jumps in and wins of course. When it's over he does /evote again, the /evote prevents you from doing the same event twice in a row, he now picks another one (most of the times "Chance"). He jumps in, he's got a 50+% chance of winning. How? he stands between two boxes, both of these two boxes contain one person, so he's standing between 1 person in one box and another person in the other box. If it lets say it picks "2" and he is standing between 2 and 3, he then moves quickly to number 3, this allows him to continue and he just gained a bigger chance of winning by doing this. IF HE wins or not does not matter that much because when it's over he just does the race again. It does not have to be Race and Chance it can be any other that he/she is good at. (I'm not saying the eventbot is a bad idea, in fact the eventbot is a good idea, but this keeps happening. So that is why I think there should be a cooldown, the cooldown prevents a person from winning over and over.) |
The eventbot should turn off if the player count is below 50 or something of the sort.

I've noticed this too. Players select Race when the playercount is low

The eventbot wont host events unless there's at least 25 players online (that's what the variable used to be set to...could have been changed), each event has a minimum number of players required for it to be played, and in Chance, it doesn't matter where your character is physically standing.
edit: I was trying to find the post where I elaborated on the Chance issue, but I couldn't find it. Basically, when the doors close in chance everyone is assigned a number. If you're standing in the middle of 2 and 3, your number will either be 2 or 3. Sometimes it may appear as if a person is cheating, but they're really not. If you're between 2 and 3 and the number you are assigned is 2, and then you move into box 3 whenever 2 is picked, you will still be kicked because it doesn't matter where you're standing, it matters what number you were assigned when the doors close. However, if their number was 3 it might look like they "cheated", but in reality, they weren't going to be kicked anyways (even if they had moved to box 2). |
Yea, I was there when Sales was testing it.
Therefore, being between two numbers in chance is worse since if any of them gets called you get kicked. |

if (playersthatenterevent < 6) Don'tDo****();
Wouldn't that solve it? |
