Due to certain recent events, Kinetaro has replaced Geovanni (Morgrim) as manager on Era.

We sincerely thank Morgrim for his (short but sweet) time, and congratulate Kinetaro on his new position.

Sorry for the confusion to the players, and hopefully we will see many new things come of this situation.

Fired after less than a day of being Manager, joy.
I was fired because the globals didn't like my staff picks even though I sent TSA my choices before I was even Manager. I could of worked with them on a new staff list, but they fired me instead while I was sleeping.. I honestly feel cheated, but it's fine...I wish Kinetaro the best.

As for my staff picks that people disagree with...

Venom_fish (wil soul) has only a history of having a mouth. He's annoying at best, but he knows gangs like the back of his hand and there is no better choice than Wil Soul.

Cloyd, he makes amazing SFX's and even know I know of his past issues, he wasn't getting the rights to do those things as a SFX anyway, he did the things he did with PR rights which he wouldn't of had. Honestly though I trust Cloyd more than pretty much anyone, he's one of my best friends here since about 8 years, I'd trust him even if he needed those rights, but the fact is he wouldn't have.

Sage, does amazing work but if hired I know he would of had to been kept on a very short leash due to his past spawners.

TheJames, wasn't even on my list to hire. He came to me about hiring, I sent him to Kinetaro to try out and I guess he impressed him enough to be hired. I'm friends with TheJames and know of his past "crimes", but I also know he wanted to join Era's staff since he was 11 years old and I know he wouldn't mess up Era.

Everything could of been avoided if the globals simply sat down and talked about me about all this, but instead they decide to fire me in my sleep in less of a days worth of being Manager. I could of made a change in my management list even though I thought it was approved since I sent it prior to me getting Manager... I feel cheated, but again I wish Kinetaro the best though I don't think you are active or knowledgeable enough to run Era.

Hope Era the best, though I don't feel much will change... hopefully I'll get to stick around on RC at the very least.

Will be interesting too see what Kinetaro can offer Era, I will be waiting for updates.

After everyone making claims about how abusive Chris was, Geo goes and hires a bunch of people with a reputation for being abusive.. and to cap that he hires TheJames.

I guess the fact that u hired people on the account that you are lifelong friends with them got you fired.

A manager is supposed to be impartial with his hiring, not hire friends and vouch that they will never screw the server again on the account of knowing them. Just simply knowing them doesn't mean they won't do it again.

(Moreover, i think that having a good friend as the manager of Era would be a perfect buffer for one to do his dirty work.)

If you jeopardize your server in any way just to allow a better environment to play with your friends, then you aren't the right man for the job. I think that was the message the Globals wanted to deliver.

I agree with you, Managers shouldn't hire friends. Geo is one of my closest friends on Graal, he trusts me, but that isn't the only reason why he hired me. He knows I'm well-experienced with making sound effects, and that was the sole purpose of me being hired. To make sounds. Not because we're friends, but because he knows I can SFX. I have a few sounds that are currently used on Era that are sounded by me.

I don't see a total problem with hiring friends if they are truly talented developers. I am good friends with some developers and I would certainly try draft some in to help me. I think it is very import to be comfortable with the team you work with and in it is important to know they've got your back and to know they trust you and vice-versa. That being said I'd never hire anyone purely because of their relationship with me, it would be still be on merit of their skills as a developer.

The main problem here was the questionable history of the people hired.
