Error: can't install Graal

Everytime I try to Install Graal Online I get an error "Was not able to start Graal.exe!"

Any solution?

Feel free to tell us what your computer specs are so we can try to figure out the problem.
If you don't know how just open start, run then type dxdiag

emandemon 08-13-2010 05:04 AM

OS: Windows 7
RAM: 2GB
GFX Card: HD 4850
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 245

blah blah blah...

Yes I did run the setup as adminstrator.

When does the error occur? Immediately upon opening GraalSetup.exe or after you click "Install"?

emandemon 08-13-2010 05:06 AM

After I click Install.

Have you tried installing Graal to another location other than default? Try extracting everything to your desktop and launching it.

cbk1994 08-13-2010 05:53 AM

What location are you trying to install it to?

fowlplay4 08-13-2010 07:02 AM

Put it in it's own folder and rename GraalSetup.exe to Graal.exe, it should generate the folders itself.

also runnng as Admin may help I've had to do that with Windows 7.

Shouldn't have to do that.

Dnegel 08-13-2010 02:51 PM

Have you installed Graal before then deleting it manually?

sssssssssss 08-13-2010 06:05 PM

Used to happen to me waaay back in the day. At least when it happened to me, it was because I wasent hitting the "install" button with the correct file path where the setup.exe file was actually located at.

maximus_asinus 08-13-2010 06:08 PM

I hate you all for stealing my solution.

Error? Or a blessing?

emandemon 08-13-2010 11:08 PM

I have tried 6 different locations to install it to, I still get the same error, I allowed it through the firewall (didn't work still), I used compatibility (didn't work), I am running out of ideas!
