Scamming.

Well, I'm quiting for now and I might just return after the reset. Okay well, a few days ago my friend Rogue (or as I thought) asked me if he could use my TG I said sure I asked him if I could use a gun in return and he put in Osiris Minigun, 3$ and bubble gum. Shortly after he gather'd me to ULMS and told me scammed , "What event should I host it off". So after I contacted a PR (DRAGON551,Alfonso) and it was reversed.

Today Chris Vimes gatherd me and wanted to know the situation and all.
I said that rogue wanted to use it etc etc.. and all. Chris wanted to know if it was good and rogue walked around and shot it. Chris said that TG and Osiris were both good weapons and the same price. He reversed it. Isn't that some BS? Chris and Rogue are good friends rofl, rogue even said that he wanted to use**** it. Rogue is richer than me by far all I had was a TG and 10k. Nothing more besides random items in my inventory. So yeah it's total bull****.

Bye.

I suggest not trusting Rogue, or even going for chris for any reason unless you want an answer of an autistic 13 year old child.

If you're stupid enough to lose nice things, then you don't deserve nice things

You're an idiot for lending your item out in the first place

Ya you'd think he would learn.. but the scam was reversed, and then the scam reversal reversed so if his story check out that does seem pretty ridiculous to me.

The rules have always been pretty clear (unless something's changed): don't lend without notifying staff beforehand. From what he's given us, there's nothing to say that it wasn't a trade where he simply changed his mind and pulled the scam card.

If Chris overruled a PR's decision...yeah, I can see why he's mad, but **** happens, get over it.

edit: this really isn't the place for this anyways. If you're looking for sympathy, good luck I guess, but you'd probably be better off contacting the PWAs to see if they'll reverse the rereversal (doubt it).

Then I have to ask, why the hell are you still getting scammed? Learn from your mistakes.

I have no sympathy for scammers at all, I think it's a hideous thing to do, but people need to apply a little more effort into learning and applying it instead of just going around willy-nilly and expecting admins to fix their mistakes for them.

I'm mainly mad because It was reversed then it was reversed back to him

Supaman771 07-19-2010 03:28 AM

The trade was originally reversed as a split second decision by a PR who happens to be your friend and the recipient of your Bow after you initially quit. And it was reversed with one side of the story, I wasn't even contacted of it by him or that it had been reversed until I went to draw my gun and it didn't come out and I asked him. Thus after Chris heard both sides of the story in a fair sit down he put things as they should be. I did not scam you nor am I a scammer. So you can stop spreading lies and raging, and as Sales stated this isn't the place for your cryings. Close thread please.

scamming being illegal causes so much bull**** and makes people careless with their items.

You used the itemtrade system to swap items with someone without alerting any staff members. The player you traded with denies it was a lend, while you claim it was. Who am I supposed to believe?

The rules are very clear on this.

If we reversed every trade where one party claimed it was a lend, no one would ever be able to trade anything without fear of that trade being reversed. The rules are there for a reason.

Item trade should support comments/reasons. If the traders are not consenting with the comments/reasons provided, they can deny the trade. Thus in this instance the trade comment would be "a temporary lend," and if the other guy doesn't agree, simply don't trade. It will be logged as a lending and thus some amount of evidence to support claims like this.

Many people have been scammed out of small guns and it's been reversed before?

Well, Reckmen recently was scammed and he got his Luger back? Why would it be such a problem to reverse mine? I don't find that fair if he got his item back crap.

Again, the rules are very clear on this.

There is nothing in your case that lets us prove beyond even a small doubt that a scam occurred.
