Black and white should NOT be transparent

Requesting server option:
  • realtransparency=true - makes pure black and white not act as transparency in images

Both of the image formats that are used for Graal primarily (PNG and GIF) support transparency. WHY are black and white still used as transparency?

And for some reason, not only is pure black transparent, but so are colors near pure black (when in full screen mode and on some computers).

Even exporting as a 24-bit PNG with transparency does not work.

I keep complaining about this :(

I also experienced the near-black and near-white bugs in fullscreen as well.

Hahaha, is this seriously still in the current version

I agree, it's annoying when heads that appear to be transparent are uploaded are then glitched on the playerlist as a result of this method being used.

This **** happens to the redreaper heads in windowed mode even.

Not everything is Black and White, Look straight in there middle and you'll see gray which is the best of both worlds.

This have happened too me so many times that I can't explain it, and I agree with you that it shouldn't become transparent.

I've always used green in graphics without green, darkblue in graphics without blue, and yellow whenever at all possible, to annoy those opening my graphics XD

I could see white, sure, But who would use black? :/

We're talking actual black, not index transparency. Using actual black, regardless of the color you're using for transparency (if you're even using index transparency, which is usually a bad idea), is transparent. The same goes for white.

yes, and although i've learned not to use pure white for highlights, i still use pure black standard for outlines, and it's pretty annoying to suddenly see your graphics without outline.

Make your graphics, brightness filter - 2, brightness filter + 1, your graphic will no longer have any completely white or completely black pixels ;O

The "when it's near" probably results from 16-bit fullscreen mode.
