Because there are still some quite annoying bugs which have not been fixed yet. If you want an answer as to why they haven't been dealt with, then Stefan's your man, not me.

The question is not necessarily why has it not been released, but instead why aren't more development efforts focused on it.

That is obvious, because Stefan is the only one working on it because he doesn't want anyone else to touch the code. Also, the current state of Graal due to its draconian payment system isn't much incentive to get it done soon.

I don't expect V6 to do much good unless it is coupled with a redesign of how payment is done.

Fortunately I recall him mentioning he would potentially revise the system upon the release of v6.
