Attention: Vega United is hiring!

Server Type: Zombie Survival

Server Description: Vega United is a server placed around 2029 where a dangerous disease is spreading which attacks the edulla oblongata specifically the anger and aggression part. This disease is unique as instead of killing a person, it feeds off a person’s anger and can control its host. Those infected have no control of their actions.
Gameplay: Vega United will be an RPG type of server where you start off in a safe house, and are eventually told that you will need to find a vaccine before all of humanity as we know it is gone. You start off with no weapons, and you work your way up earning new guns and gear. There is no money. The only currency there is, is your ammo, guns, and equipment. (ex: if you want to purchase a gun you might trade 2,000 bullets for it.) Ammo is scarce, you will need to shoot only when need too, and you will need to work with other survivors (other players) to complete the objectives you are told to complete in hope of finding a vaccine. Once you finish all the quests and objectives you may wonder, what is there to do next? After you reach the higher levels, you can go back and help other survivors make it to the other side, play events such as Last Man Standing (waves of zombies try to take you and your group out), or you can join an group of zombie killers who may attempt to clear areas of zombies so that you can take the ammo/guns/gear from their dead bodies and sell them on the black market. Furthermore, you may join a clan to claim areas of the map and create your own city. However, joining a clan is a big responsibility. You must defend it from other clans, and you must attack other clans in hope of expanding your clan’s claim of land.

Jobs:
1. Completing the quests
2. Selling goods you get from zombies
3. Cutting trees (which will go towards fortressing forts and safe zones)
4. Fishing
5. Farming (Food is essential for healing your friends and keeping yourself alive)
6. Some other secret ones

Other Comments: Vega United will be a server full of surprises. Not only are you trying to defend yourself from zombies, but in a time of crisis you have to defend yourself from other humans as there are limited supplies. There will be the main storyline and then side quests. The story will be a main part of the server.

Honestly, Jkl. You need to sit down and plan out something new. Maybe get a bit of experience developing from another playerworld. I've logged onto Vega United to check it out a couple times and it looks horrible. I've seen alot of your scripts you have posted as well and it seems like you're taking alot of scripts from other places and copying pasting.

I'm really not trying to be too hard on you, and I don't think I was considering the facts. Just get some experience first or make some friends that will do it for you.

If you have any questions or anything i'd be glad to help, again i'm not trying to shoot you down.

I still don't understand why you wanted me to hand over my GFX Files to you, instead of just the pictures when I showed you my application. Especially when you didn't even hire me yet.

Why not try something unique instead of completely basing your server off of something that already exists?

Edit:

A server in general is going to be very difficult to complete. I'd imagine a CoD server would be fairly easy in comparison because you don't have to worry about stupid things like an "economy", businesses, quests, jobs, etc
That's why CoD is so popular -- it drops all of the complications and keeps it simple.

Okay, GFX files are images, they are graphics. So I was confused when you were saying "why do i need to hand them over" I just figured you were sending you pictures. I want to hire you, you're good. I don't see what the problem is. I'm lost.

We've got a lot of simple stuff done, eg. health / guns

We're working on hiring some scripters to do inventory, events, etc.

No Chris you should move all of Era over to his server, and then take it from there. Im sure he would do an amazing job at running it.

Oh yeah, that was my favorite too...xD

Both health and gun systems were scripted by people that were willing to help you out and get started, and then you continued to pester them to continue working even when asked to stop, including the "inventory, events, etc."

Okay, yes, that was 100% necessary at that time. All my staff were on there periods accidentally deleting buildings and forgetting to say "update level". Those blocks were needed to make sure they didn't destroy that important building. (The picture doesn't show it because the level wasn't updated.)

That was a rash decision, no one was banned though. I just wanted to scare them so they would fight fair. The bug has been long fixed by *Switch.

Chris Vimes was nice enough to script guns.

I pester you because you told me you help me. So there. ;)

I asked if you needed help with something, and you asked for a health system. Then you asked me for more things, and I said "We'll see, I'm not sure," and when I told you no you still pestered me.
There's a difference between helping out and working for you, and you need to understand that.
