Server Idea -
Graal Server Idea:
Fire bomb (You get a bomb -colors still being chosen- and you lay it down and it will explode within 3 seconds) -NPC's- There will be many NPCs on this server (No name yet) and you will have to talk to those NPCs to advance farther into the game/server. When you talk to an NPC a red box (Bigger than default chat box) will appear with the NPC talking. Ex:NPC: Steven: Hello, Luke, welcome to Ishaz Town! When you talk to players the samr big red box will appear so you can still talk. Quests will play a big part on this server aswell. Money making will involve, selling items from killing monsters and such. Community Plan -Keep a good community -Have many PRs for the community too stay well -No abuse, if staff are caught spawning items/abusing they will be fired immediately PvP System/NPC Killing System: -Alright well, you see when you engage in a battle a long box will go all along the bottom of your screen with tons of attacks to choose from. Of course at the beginning you won't have many attacks but as you level up you will get more and more attacks. There are no classes whatsoever on this server/game, just leveling up and getting new attacks. Its pretty fun! At first you will, of course have a punch attack. As you level up you will be able to unlock the "Punch Combo" which you can continue to improve once you unlock it. When you first get it you can do a two punch combo. As you "improve" this attack you could perform more punches as a longer and stronger combo. Mainly this server could also take some nice strategy thinking. You will be able to use any kind of attack because your just a kind of fighter who can do anything, once achieved of course. So when you fight NPC's you'll need to think of those attacks you have so you can defear your enemies! Same goes for PKing, you will need to think of the attacks you have and use them wisely. When your killing enemies you can get armour,rings,capes, helmets,boots. Pretty sweet ay? Well theres more! You see, I want this server to not be so easy and to take some thinking. I want players to think out a battle tactic and if the NPC/Player is having a special defense on something, I want you to think of a battle tactic that works. There will be tons of battle tactics. Now you're probably thinking well if I get about 150 battle attacks do you really expect me to just scroll down and start choosing the right ones? No, well you see you have a list of all your battle attacks and you have a list of "Attack List", basically you will have a list of 20 attacks. Those 20 attacks will be your "Attack List" for the battle, which you could always change at any time. If you are fighting a player and that players takes more than 3 minutes to choose an attack. Surely it wouldn't take more than 3 minutes to choose 1 attack out of 20. You can always improve your attacks to a certain degree aswell, which can really be a big help for your battles. -More on them NPCs- Yeah well the NPCs, hopefully, we can program them to have an attack pattern possibly, with a list of default attacks to use depending on that monster. We want an attack pattern because if we do random attacks it probably could vary from little damage to big damage, but we want an attack pattern that can take down players and be hard to defeat. Random attacks may become to easy to defeat depending on if it keeps on choosing the weak attacks. Who knows? Still an attack pattern, different for each NPC (Unless its the same exact NPC) will be different. To be honest I think finding the staff to do this idea will be the hardest part, and then going back and seeing, well what do we want thats really good and fun. We need our gmap to be good and everything (We will be using the classic tiles) because the classic tiles seem to fit the description of what I think fits the whole theme. Although I could decide to have a few custom tiles, who knows? -Events- Yes many people like to play events that are very good. Like when I would log on UN (Unholy Nation) and see tons of people in an event lobby, I'd be like "Dude I want a server with a ton of ppl in an event lobby, like jeez man this is it." Yes so I decided yeah. I'm thinking of having an event lobby for all events. I want this server to have so much, be great and fun. Less idling and more fun. The Gmap Thing -Yeah well the gmap will be HUGE with a few islands (Not a super long swim away though). Yes the gmap will be filled with houses,npcs, secret places, secret items to find, caves, dungeons, special prizes scattered throughout the gmap, like "The Hook", this hook will help you just chain to something and it will shoot you to that thing that you hook too. It can be pretty useful, especially in dungeons where you definately need it. Approaches on the NPC/Player Yes when a player wants to pk you, they can't just start attacking you. They or you, have to send a battle request to you or from you to him and if he accepts the battle request you will begin to fight. If you see an NPC and it begins a battle you won't have a choice in battling or not, it will just automatically start a battle with you and you have no choice but to fight. Weather Changes -Every hour it will be sunny and every 4 hours it will rain for 30 minutes. During winter it will snow (Which a gmap change can do) Its all good here. -Finishing a fight against an NPC- After you defeat an NPC it can give you either some gold coins or some kind of item. -How can you put on armour, ect. Well first of all your armour won't be shown on your player, only your hat,body,shield, and head will. Your armour will still be on you though. Anyway you will have a Q-Menu with things like, "Goods, Equip,and Attacks of course. Your goods section will feature, gold coins, potions ect. Equipt will feature your armour, capes,helmets,boots,rings, amulets, chestplate, platelegs and everything. Attacks, as already discussed will have your list of all the attacks you've unlocked so far. We hope to keep on adding new attacks. So far the max level will be 150. It will take a while to level up though, although achieving the attacks will help. You see if we make the leveling slower, but tons of attacks to unlock all the time, you can take time leveling with a ton of attacks and read yo just pwn some noobs, ay? Pretty good, considering even with slow leveling, there will be tons of features for the low levels and not just for high levels. Both high and low levels will have tons and tons of features. The plan is even if you hit level 150 you can still fight monsters and unlock new attacks, so players can keep on finding ways to think of new battle tactics. -The Battle Request (More On)- Even if someone sends you a battle requests you can check their profile too see their level so you don't end up getting ownt so easily and emberrased. I don't think you want to be level 10 fighting a level 80 right? Didn't think so. But a level 70 vs 80 can be interesting because the level 70 could win. Depending on your battle tactics you could win the fight if your 70 vs 80. Pretty cool though. -A few things- Yeah, you can run on this server if you hold down A while walking. Sadly, you cannot jump on this server. Also you can have three character slots so you could have a: level 30, level 50, level 80. -Some Gmap things- Some towns may have a few NPCs that cause fires or something, therefore parts of the village may be on fire, and you might have to go and find those bad guys and take em out! -Few other things- If you walk on a fire you begin to lose health and die slowly. You getting the first attack or the NPC getting the first attack will vary throughout fighting those monsters. Normally if you get behind an NPC and confront it you could get the first attack (usually). Each monster will vary on your amount of exp (experience) points you will get, which you could check in on your screen. On the top of your screen there will be buttons to press and things. During battles if you can inflict enough damage you could be able to dodge the next attack your opponent does. This really helps during battles and makes you own. You can have a direct hit that has a 50 chance to actually do a direct hit or a 50 chance to just not do a direct hit. Depending if your enemy uses an attack like "Focus" if you do enough damage on him you will be able to attack again. If he doesn't use focus he could get attacked again. Always have the focus attack in your attack list for your battles. In these server/game you could take NPCs/friends with you on missions and such. Like if you had to go save some villagers, you could take some NPCs like an NPC Dog, or NPC squirrel or warrior, or even take your friends with you. -The things you have when you get your friends/NPCs to come with you on missions/and other things- You always form a party, which is a group of NPCs or players. The max 'party' size is 14 people or NPCs or NPCs and players. Certain things could only require a certain amount of people, like if your fighting lower level things with lower levels you going to only have like 3 people. If the task is much harder you could get 14 people or NPcs and players. When you engage in battle with your NPCs or friends, they will appear in battle against those NPCs. They won't appear in battles during PKing, unless you go to the spar arena and go in a team spar, and form a group and fight eachother. Ex: 3 players on a blue team and 3 players on a red team. Both teams come out and begin fighting the opposing team. Its not like 1 player from each team come out and 1 v 1 eachother. No, all 3 players come out and they fight their enemies as a real team. You do get a map on this server. If you press M you can activate your map and look around the gmap. |
Server Idea - 2
-Attacks-
The combo punch, once improved can be a max of 16 punches no matter how good you are. -Pets- Yes, you can get a pet on this server which you could take out with you if you open the bar at the top of your screen (Its like the server time bar but a different color) and press Pet, you can then click on which pet you want to take out. You can only take out 2 pets at a time. If someone has a pet and you don't, you probably wanna take one out before you go and fight them. You see your pet, can make your "Punch Combo" and any other attack that can be turned into a combo, do more hits and have a better chance at a longer combo. With 16 punches at max. Basically your pet improves the longer your combo can be during battle. -Quests- Quests are very important in this server. They help you get money,items and clues on things you'll need to know later in the game, in a different situation. -Player and Player Interaction- On this server you won't have to create a "guild" on Graalonline.com either, you could easily just form a guild on the server at the Guild House. You can make a guild there for a small fee of 50,000 gold coins. (Don't want everyone making a useless guild at a low level) We want the guilds to be competetive. On this server you could also buy a house (Limited Player Houses) where you could store your pets at. The max pet amount is 12, and you can only use 2 for battle so you can store your other 10 in your Pets Area in your house. Houses are 100,000 (x2 of guild money) to buy. Also, monsters can drop food and potions. -Some SFX- All attacks will have a sound effect, along with when your just roaming around a kind of peaceful music will play. When you are in a cave or dungeon a more dangerous music will play. IF you are in a battle then you will hear some kind of fighting music. -Some more- Once you win a battle it will have a big white sign at the top of your screen with a red outline at the edges and it will say You Won! Your enemy will be roaming around when you go around to fight monsters. These monsters will roam around the area. If you do a combo that has the max of 16 hits it will say in bold letters "16 Hits" and under that "Total Damage (# of damage) of course, after you finish your battle. I didn't write this all in one day so...I'm thinking a custom tileset along with possibly a custom player model may be made. The classic tileset and the player models don't seem to fit the exact experience of the entire game/server. Yes, you have to heal yourself if you get low HP or your pet if you want it to stay alive. Depending on the food you give your pet, if they like it a lot it will heal more HP. If your pet dies you cannot use it unless you have a Revive Potion and use it to revive your pet. If you press the bar at the top of your screen, (It has a little blue line going down like the server time bar if you close it) and click pets you can go and see the 2 pets you have with you and if one of them are dead it will have options where you can either Revive it, if its alive and low health there will be a button called Heal. When you click on Revive it will revive whichever pet you pressed the Revive button on. When it heals a pet, after you press the Heal button, it will go into your Goods Section (Which also carries all your food) and you can choose which food you want to use to heal your pet. You can do the same for yourself because if you press the bar at the top and press Player its got options. I've changed my mind, so the bar at the top will have the player's, Inventory and Pets sections. If you go into Inventory it will have your Goods and Equip section. Your pet won't choose its own attacks though. Your pet will get its own list of 12 attacks of its own that it can always improve to make stronger. The gmap as I said will contain little prizes, that will look like christmas presents. The bar at the top will also contain an option in it that says "Attacks List" I don't know if I wrote that will be in another inventory section or something. When you go into your inventory you can also see your Defence, Level, Max HP, Offense, Defense, and Speed. Everyone gets the same speed unless you use a enhancement potion (That you can find in the gmap) that can make you move a lot faster. Some of you may be wondering, "Offense?" "Defense?" Ex:As you level up you can find amulets and rings that add defense and offense points. Only rings and amulets. As you level up you can get more Offense and Defense points. These amulets and rings can only add a max of 8 Defense or Offense points each. Its not much of a big deal but it can help you. (There will be no armour, just as you level you will get your Defense up.) I don't want the items corrupting the whole gameplay, I want more strategy than just thinking about the armour add ons so people think about fighting and really experience the whole thing. I might explain a little more on this another time, I'm not sure. -Some Gmap Effects- Yeah, with the gmap I hope to have some gmap effects. Like trees on the floor that were cut in two or something. Just a few minor details. When there are things that are blocking you or something you have to take another path. There will be another way to get past whatever is blocking you, you just have to take another path around it. I hope that the gmap's cliff tiles have some detail with marks and everything on them so it shows that monsters or something has been on the cliff doing something. In your home village there are a few monsters that are tame and you can play around with and stuff and not fight them because the village has been able to tame them for play. -Some more?- Yeah, you cannot trade your items or anything on this, but you can lend players your pets. You cannot be scammed of your pets though, because your friend can only borrow a pet for only 40 minutes at max. Even if they log off. Like if you get a dog on the server and a friend needs a dog for their quest, you can click the bar on the top of your screen and click on the option labeled Pets and get your mouse on the pet that you want (2 Boxes with both of your pets, click on the options in that box for 1 pet and click on the other options for the other pet) There will be an option called "Lend" Ex: Lend Pet: Dusty Account: MagikMasterMind (Account you are lending to) Minutes: (10)-Lend- (20)-Lend- (30)-Lend- (40)-Lend- These times will have spaces in between them, separating them so they aren't so close. You just press lend on the time you want and then after that, the Pet Box and bar at the top will close and you will have lended your pet to whoever you lended it to for the time you chose. This all will probably be written into a comment on a server if this idea is ever done. At some places there will be ladders, which you will need to climb to in order to get somewhere. you can always check your "Party" if you press the bar at the top of your screen to open it and click on the button Party, which will list the people in your party (Max Amount:14) Gmap will have some dead trees with things on them like a piece of blue cloth or something. (A clue for a quest or a mission.) Your going to meet a ton of strong monsters that will be hard to beat though. Make sure you think during your fight on how to defeat your enemies. Yes, everytime you finish your turn to attack it will be showing the damage your doing in white numbers next to the monster and at the end of the attack it will say Total Damage (70) <-- just an example and that will be the damage you inflicted on your enemy during that turn. At the end of the battle it will say Total Damage (962) <--- Example, and that will be all the damage you've done throughout the entire battle (Or you and your party) There is almost as you could say "Bosses" which are the more stronger enemies, of course. And then you've got you know your monsters but you encounter a boss a lot and they are much harder than normal monsters, obviously. During battle you can always pull up ur Bar at the top of your screen to see your party's health incase anyone is low. Unfortunately you can only see your own HP when your fighting, a small white box on the left of your screen will say your name (scooter123) (HP:2000) because your screen cannot hold many people's Boxes and all your bar at the top can be opened and you can just check the rest of the guys in your party too see if they are dieing. During battle, if a teammate is low on health, you can give him potions and food. See if your teammate gets weak and you check the party list, if hes low it will have a button to press (Help) and when you click that you can give him food and potions. Of course your white box with your HP will disappear after you finish your battle. You will see everyone in your party on your screen waiting to fight though. You will see them do their attack as well. Your enemy will get knocked back and get a white glow when it is hit by someones attack as well. Server Name: Bounded (May be changed) More will be discussed of this later on. |

Well, you do seem to have it worked out pretty well.
And no offence, but i doubt it will ever go anywhere, not because of you or the idea, but because of the lack of development staff. |
I see. Thats been the problem for new servers lately. Its been that they can't find the staff members for the project. The idea is good but I need the people for it :(

Thing is I can't find a server that could just use my idea and everything.
The other thing is I also want to try and make a storyline for the server, with tons of missons and quests and some sad parts in it. So your not always PKing and everything but experiencing some sad things and everything. |

If your player likes the food you heal him with, it will heal him even more. On this
server you could wield a weapon or just go without a weapon. It doesn't matter, your attacks are the same damage its just with a weapon you perform the move by using your weapon. Your damage won't change though, its just a matter of what you think looks better weaponless or with a weapon. What looks cooler on your guy? I also decided on a little achievement thing. Slay 150 dragons and collect the dragon fangs they drop and return them to the old man you meet in the Yelitz Village. You then get 20,000 gold coins and 3 healing potions and a long sword. |
I see a lot of ideas (many that don't really need to be mentioned in such detail), but very little organization.

The thing is, I just thought of it and decided to go into depth for any curious members. It probably won't ever be a server because of the lack of development on Graal. *Sigh*

This idea sounds incredibly incomplete and headed for disaster. It seems less like an organized, and well-thought out plan, and more like a compilation of ideas. There's not really any sort of story or structure to your "server idea". It's lacking the basic components that make up a server, and make a server successful. I didn't really read it in depth because all of your paragraphs are rambling sentences of the same thing over and over again, but I get the gist and I can clearly see this was not well-thought out despite being incredibly long and taking a good 10+ minutes for me to read the whole thing, even with me skimming.
Get some structure to your idea. Order your explanation in a legible manner. Explain what the point of this server will be, and try to make up a story because if you don't have stories nobody cares. Your name is not Jerry Seinfeld or Larry David. You are scooter. Get some stories. Your entire idea seems like an RPG that has been hit against the support beams a few times with a lead pipe, because while you're clearly implying the elements of an RPG, you're purposefully leaving out basic things that are key to making an RPG server successful. No trading items on a server that revolves around getting loot? How do you expect any server to thrive when you have absolutely no economy keeping players interested? People like success. It's why people get on graal to begin with, other than the community. I want to get all the EC I possibly can, get a bunch of gralats, have all the items, I want to be #1 bla bla bla. Where are you going with this idea of eliminating an entire key feature to ANY game from your server? And despite this idea being a casserole of messy, unorganized thoughts, most of these ideas are extremely grandiose and to expect it to be done on this day and age in Graal is ridiculous. Do you know a lot of talented developers? Leveling is overlooked, but it is important. But even more important is NATs for this, you would have a long ass list of core systems that would need intricate scripting to be finished over a long period of time. And any RPG server is going to require loads and loads of GAT work, something that Graal has an extreme lack of these days, both in quality and quantity. Please sit down with a pen and paper and map things out before you assault the forums with 400 ideas that haven't even been coupled together. |
