I've collected a handful of screenshots of levels I've created on servers just have a portfolio type thing that everyone else has been doing lately. :cool:


This screenshots are not open for criticism because simply, I'm not working with them anymore and they're not recently made.
- I also had permission from Managers of the servers to post these screenshots and confirm they are MY levels.
Hope you enjoy them!

First Screenshot - A Level I made for N-Pulse
Second Screenshot - One of the TTO's I made for Malinko
Third Screenshot - A level I made for N-Pulse
Fourth Screenshot - I made the whole UN Mines gmap for Malinko right before he got fired.

Those are pretty good, nice work. I especially like the last one (the cave-ish one).

I guess the last level is kind of okay. Why would you have to omit half the tiles for the neat stone pillars :(

They may look nice but they aren't very practical for being used as playable content with the exception of the cave and maybe the first level. Hopefully people start posting things that players would actually want to play on rather than just eye candy. I'm not insulting your levels at all, In fact I think they are nice but what really shows that you are good/excellent at level design is seeing what playable content you can make and if you can make things that a player can actually pk/move without having to go out of their way to play the game. I'd like to see you post a gmap or 2 that you have created. 2x2-3x3 would be great. Just to reiterate what I said before, I like your levels but I would also like to see how they are when they are used as playable content and how they look when spanned across multiple levels. I never see anyone really post anything on the forums that is meant to be played on and seeing as you're GDT I assume you would have something already created.

They aren't bad. Pretty much perfect, and then minus some points on the creativity scale for not taking many risks.

Already told Imp what I think of the levels, overall it's average at best. Looking forward to more levels though, as people can only improve with practice.

Average is a good word for it. There's signs of potential in his leveling, but he incorporates that style that's so popular these days, what with the paths making amorphous shapes and the grass being dotted randomly. I think if the organization was better, and the paths formed better shapes, there would be some major improvement in the quality.

And for the love of god, cut down on the detail. You're around houses, there shouldn't be clutter of vegetation in every corner. x_x

I am a big fan of critique, and bettering ones skills... but the topic clearly states this is a portfolio, and he already stated a decent reason for not revisiting(already uploaded on places he no longer works, etc.)... so in this case it's no big deal. However, he can always take the advice and remember it in the future when he works on new levels.

Random notes:
lol @ trees in shallow water. Portraying way deeper water and it actually is(remember, only comes up to the player's feet!)

Did you seriously 'showname' for these screenshots? O.o

No, one the servers I was on they had custom nickname systems and they showed 24/7.

I don't really level like this anymore, this is like 1-2 years old.. if not more. So the advice wouldn't be doing much since I already know what to work on and what I did wrong back then.

Best you can do then is.. Show your best. Portfolios show both new and old. But it lacks newer :(

Really don't have any reason to impress anyone with it, it was just some of my levels I created a while ago and felt like sharing.. It's not going in to my bestlevelsievermadegallery.

And I don't have any "newer" levels because I haven't been leveling in a while, but maybe when I get done with this Zodiac project and it becomes public, fowlplay4 will allow me to post screenshots of it.

Well we are very much interested in seeing some current work. Of course not being able to show the Zodiac project I understand. But if you have a chance, show us some recent work, or make a level to show us. :)

Uh yeah, I just want to vouch for Shanky on this. He made that outside TTO level for Malinko and I, as well as the mines. He received the gmap with only the walls and the dirt, but pretty much designed the whole thing. He should really be given the credit he deserves. The levels are not yours, Imp.

The caves were created by me, look at staff activity history =/.
