IRC Channel #graaldt @ irc.freenode.net

I went to that channel, and they help me out constantly almost. I wouldn't be able to make heads or tails of most of this new stuff without having people to talk with about it, at least not in a reasonable time frame.

[20:58] <Dustyshouri> no, RogueShadow is always talking about scripts lol
[20:58] <Dustyshouri> in fact, he pretty much brought Graal back as a topic single-handedly
Apparently this is an underused resource, I'd like to give it some props and a promotional post.

Many Muli-Protocal IM clients support IRC nowdays, also Firefox extensions, personally I use the free HydraIRC, please reference your favorite IRC client and how somebody not so familier with irc could connect to #graaldt with it. Also, I hear you can connect to the internet with gs2 now? Can you link the in-game irc stuff to online real irc?

http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...ad.php?t=87701 -- Post I came accross while looking for more info
http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#graaldt -- Webchat for Freenode, very good way to get on if you don't wanna install a client or whatnot.

Not seamlessly.

I use Pidgin and I'm able to connect to RC through the manage accounts stuff there. I just have to type /join #graaldt each time.

I've asked about setting up a channel that can be accessed through an IRC client and Graal, and I think I got a 'not possible'. Which is sad, as it'd make the chat that much more useful.

Would prefer not having it accessible through Graal unless there is some agreement disassociating Graal from being responsible for what is said on there. Basically join at your own risk, that should be said here as well.

Well the only limit is what you can do with a web-server, so it's not impossible to setup a relay between IRC and the Server, still challenging but not impossible.

Graal is just as bad for the most part. But I see what your saying. Good pont Inverness

You could do it the same way the AJAX/DHTML IRC-clients do it. I'm pretty sure of that.

i hope this is a spelling error.

btw, on pidgin, you can make it shows up when u "login" to freenode by doing
Buddies -> Join a Chat -> pick #graaldt -> add chat.
you probably could just do add chat on buddies menu too, but this is the way i did it.

so, i am obviously using Pidgin.

If sockets were enabled...

If freenode still had that vulnerability...

This is the best IRC client for Mac (or any platform, unfortunately it's only for Mac)

coreys 03-05-2010 01:32 AM

The IRC client in Pidgin works great for me...
And it helps that it's in Pidgin, too. (<3 Pidgin)
