Brigid-cursed!
 

I'm brigid, and i feel like we've been stripped of all attacks; that arent used against unholy.

which is fine, seeing we obviously are overpowered against those of which who are bile, or zombies; vampiric guardians, ect.

But, i dont think its fair that if we get cursed, we literally have nothing to use when we're cursed; which if somone, lets say chaosorc, who is generous enough to never have cursed me, being level 64 wisdom he'd leave a curse on me for around 40 minutes, leaving me completely useless.

a simple fix - if deemed needed of a fix - would be allowing brigid to curse bilers, so they cant cast curse.

Brigid has many disadvantages but can be very powerful if you know how to use the spells, Here is a very good blog post by Draenin highlighting the advantages and disadvantages to Brigid.

Brigid can be very disadvantaged in many cases which is a pain but Brigid has only ever been great fighting bile users.

You really shouldn't pick Brigid if your focus is on PVP, that being said, GK hasn't exactly got the right sort of system going to allow room for a healer spec. All stems from allowing everyone to become anything they want.

dreanins post has some holes in it and btw u can curse other players.. if u curse a bile player they cant cast wounds or red/black death

and if the insect plague was fixed that would be a decent non holy wisdom spell to cast on players. but to give brigid players a spell that would negate bile users "curse" spell then that would leave them defenseless with no way of stopping our holy spells so no there's no need for a spell to inhibit other users from casting curse on brigid players :)

Totally agreed, i think insect plague should be fixed too. Its a decent working prayer, its just .. trash. Does unnoticeable damage.

well it used to fallow around the target doing about the same damage it does now but the good part was it had a decent poison

also.. holy wrath.. wtf... that's all i have to say about that haha

Holy wrath is half decent, it can hit players from anywhere on the map if you have them targetted (which happens when?). It does about 25% of there health, but its grace consumption is unreal, it uses about 150 grace per cast, and its got a long casting time, and it only hurts bile, and of course, its holy, so if we're cursed its useless like everything else.

holy wrath is impractical in battle for the very reasons u listed. and btw insect plague takes up almost as much gp haha and the targeting system only allows u to target so far away regardless of the spells range

completely agreed, but its -half decent- for the fact it does damage, like few of the other brigid spells.

Honestly, i just want something that does damage to things that arent bile. Insect plague would be perfect.

maybe a quarter decent. it's cost does not justify it's usage at all. and yes IF improved insect plague would be great or even if the wc on thorns was improved.. since it's attack type is physical it wont do damage to players who have high ac .. and yeah eas drop rate have been lowed anyone that's been playing for like 6 months has great ac regardless. also just a mention.. it'd be awesome if the spell peace did something for pvp lol idk something like disarming the person most likely they'll have the weapon hotkeyed in which case they'll just quickly re-equip it but in the meantime u'll have a chance to escape or set up for ur next spell

yeah escape, because we're probably cursed already so we have no alternative then to escape.

I don't feel that underpowered being Brigid other then my severe weakness to wounds.

Didn't know I could curse people from using wounds, hellz yeah!

we're really not over powered per say but there are a several problems.. but none so bad that u can't hold ur own against anyone given the right gear set and good strategy

All gods are flawed, none of them are perfect. Balancing them and gaining approval of all the players is a difficult thing to do. Brigid is a support god anyway. :oo:
