Happy New Year, here's the plan..
Happy New Year, I hope everyone had a safe one. I wanted to just give a general outline of the development plans for the first couple months of 2010.
• Achievements system • Pet system • RPG system _ ____________________________ _ Achievements SystemThe achievement system is a new concept that I had been meaning to get started on for quite some time. Last month, I got Gamerkid7 who is the Developer that generally handles events and the like, to get started on this awesome project. We put our heads together, and really started to think. With a dynamic GUI that displays all the achievements available, and all the ones you've already achieved, it'll be a lot of fun. Some features that will be contained in the system: • Events/PK/Exploration/Miscellaneous achievments (IE: Killing the same person 3x in an event, Finding a historic location on UN, etc) • Prizes for achievements (Contains, but is not limited to: EP, Gralat, hats) • Ability to view yours, and other player's achievements in a dynamic GUI. (Can be stretched out to fit your likings, without losing the full quality of the window) This system has already been started on, and a number of achievements are done. We're just working on finishing more before releasing. After some complications with scripters quitting halfway through the project, one of which making sure they left it in shambles, it was decided to put this project on hold. Now we've got a more stable team of scripters, and I plan on taking full advantage of that. Lloyd (thatdwarf) and Alex (born2kill) are going to be working on re-scripting this project together. They will start within the first week or so of January; I don't foresee it taking very long. All levels and graphics are already done for this, it's just a matter of tying them all together with the scripts. Pet images (since no screenshots are available): Pet images (click) _ ____________________________ _ RPG systemIn their free times, the NATs started working on recreating UN's old RPG system. My hopes are that we can tie this in with the pet system, and create two halves of one big project. People solely interested in the pet system wouldn't have to play the RPG system, nor vice versa. However, I was thinking it might be a nice touch to be able to use the pet you've worked hard on, in the RPG system. There aren't many details on this yet, but I will be sure to fill you guys in when we establish them. _ ____________________________ _ I have high hopes for this year, and so does the rest of the staff team. We'll be trying to organize the teams a little more as well, since we have a hard time keeping them stable (generally FAQ, GP and Events Team). The Achievement system is a step in the right direction. Pet and RPG systems would just add more clutter. I think, to improve Unholy Nation, you need to really think of a way you can move forward, instead of to the sides. Choose a basis or an idea you can keep going with for years. Basing your future releases around the core of the server would be a good start, which I see as PKing and Events because to be honest with you guys, that's all you really have going for you at the moment in terms of gripping features.

Achievement system is really not a new concept; it is the only one that could possibly hold some interest for me personally however. Like Immolate said, the others just seem like clutter and I can't imagine them being used on a constant basis. Good luck never the less.

Hopefully it will be as good as it looks. The pet system probably will die down as in my opinion releasing two RPG set project sounds like a back idea. |

By recreating RPG system...Do you mean bring back the same OLD or Fix it up? It was kinda boring killing frogs.
Achievement system would be the best thing. You should have a reward for completing all achievements. EDIT: You should get better rewards on completing harder achievements. This would be used alot of time. |

I helped test the new Achievement System, and right now and it's current state it's pretty awesome, I don't think it was nearly completed either. It's a good addition and will keep players more devoted to the game I believe.

(i'm pretty sure, or he was in the process of it) Most people that don't know much or anything about the WSU Trainer, resolves everyone's incredible speed on it. It's quite obvious to know when someone is using it, such as walking on walls, but this stuff can't be discussed more into detail on the forums. |
