How often do you read the news?

How often do you read the news and where do you view it from? The news can be viewed on the login server, Graal Bible, or the graalonline.com news page but which do you use? We want to find out the thoughts from graal community on the news and possible solutions and suggestions of what improvements can be made in the future. All suggestions will be taken very seriously as we plan on improving the news in the new year.

This will be an open poll and all votes can be viewed by the public. If you wish to give me suggestions privately or have any questions relating to the news or the global news team please send me a message via forum pm here

Thank you.

Rarely

DustyPorViva 12-14-2009 10:24 PM

Not often. Some times I see something that interests me on login right before I log on a server, but that rarely happens.

Luda 12-14-2009 10:25 PM

Rarely. One of the things that throws me off is the way it's presented, a lot of the images are random sizes. Maybe I'm just picky.

O wtf, then i frequently read news

Vima 12-14-2009 10:31 PM

sometimes, depends on which server who is posting.

Gothika 12-14-2009 10:34 PM

I'll read the ones that have an intresting looking image/composition. If it's just a pile of text or a cheesie screenshot, then I'll not both. Of course I'll read anything to do with Graal Kingdoms as that is my home server. I'd say that goes for everyone. If it's got something to do with their main server, then they'll probably read it.

Login Server.

Depends on the headlines, have you considered getting wittier with them?

Rufus 12-14-2009 10:36 PM

I think I read it more when Classic was up.

LordSquirt 12-14-2009 10:46 PM

I honestly don't read the news for the most part. If I do it would be on the Login server, or the forums. For example, those monthly hosted servers I just read it when TSA or someone posts it on the forums.

Crono 12-14-2009 10:48 PM

Rarely, don't pay attention to the login news. Just look at the pictures for a second or two as I'm connecting to a server.

Door 12-14-2009 10:48 PM

I used to read the login news once in a blue moon, but I have completely given up at this time because it seemed like it was consistently boring and/or horrendously written. As far as the Bible is concerned, I just never go nor have any reason to. If I could edit it and contribute, then I might actually be inclined to visit every so often like I used to.

And finally (although apparently this is off topic, but I feel it's related), in-server news like UN's may as well be a popup ad to me. I move my cursor to the X when it loads as though it's a matter of life and death.

So annoying, right? Yet servers swear login pop-ups are the best damn thing in the world. I hate them with a passion, especially when there are more than one. I want to log in to a server and start playing, not navigate through a damn barrage of windows!

SwimChao 12-14-2009 10:56 PM

I always read it when it's updated. I use the server list news, primarily. I'll only read the wiki if I have news pending for UN.

It's something like an intuition developed since I became big in development many years ago.

cbk1994 12-14-2009 11:15 PM

I read it whenever it's updated on the login server unless it's about some UC server looking for staff.
